No "One Toke Over The Line" and too early to have had a too few many. this is something I sincerely believe. Last year, we were a game, a few plays, or a kick away, depending on your point of view. Some seem to forget that we did this with a horrible OL, no running game, and horrible play from our LB's. What makes us better this year?
On D. We may miss Solia some on the DL but, don't think it will be much. A healthy Wake, improved OV, Shelby, and adding in Jordan makes us better. I expect a big improvement from our LB's, hard to do worse. At S, Jones will be better, not sure on Delmas over Clemons but, do not see any big drop off. At CB. Grimes is back, and Finnegen and Taylor should compensate for Carroll, and may be better.
Overall, I don't think anyone can say we are worse, and are likely improved.
On O. Tannehill will be better in his 3rd year. Our RB's are improved with Moreno and experience. At WR, we are better. Wallace will be improved, Hartline and Gibson should be healthy, Matthews has a good year under his belt, and we added Landry. TE will be better with Clay adapting to the position and a VG year of experience, and Sims has to be better in blocking, etc in his second year.
The OL is still a big concern. Albert, if he stays healthy, will likely reduce our sacks by around 10 by himself, and Pouncey was #1 on the pass in the NFL. Both can improve on the run, which they have shown in the last couple of years. Then, we have questions. James will very likely be thrown out there at RT, and maybe Turner at OG. A number of rookies have been able to hold up in giving sacks but, give up A LOT of hits and hurries, which many do not consider but, it does take a toll on any QB. Not sure what to think of Smith, Dallas. or Brenner until we see more. A good starting vet would be very welcome.
On ST's, Fields is as good as it gets, and Sturgis shoud be better. In looking at our picks, I expect a HUGE improvement in blocking and coverage. We sucked last year, and the blocking was horrible, which had a big effect on Thigpen. He is still VG
Just my two cents on what I see, and I see playoffs.
