Dolphins Are A Playoff Team This Year

we haven't been a playoff team since 2010. we went for it, got close twice then saw the talent erode around our QB. we will have more talent on the team than at any point since 2011 and maybe since 2010 as we enter 2014 but that wasn't the case last year.

Miami's O/U was 7.5 last year so they were right where they were supposed to be.

Vegas has the line at 8 wins for Miami this year, what is the Jests O/U?

Can somebody please explain why our schedule is so brutal? I don't see it, unless you think we should play Jacksonville every week.

Going into last year, many though Atlanta was an automatic loss...didn't happen because Atlanta slid hard last year. Nobody has a clue one how tough our schedule is until the end of the season.

This is the NFL...we're a 3rd place team with a 3rd place schedule, in the NFL...how is that brutal? We play the 2013 strongest AFC division (West), the 3rd best NFC division (North) and are playing in the 3rd best AFC division.

Did we not beat the AFC #2 seed in the Patriots (even if they got one too), the Colts, the Chargers, Bengals, all AFC playoff teams, in 2013? We lost handily to the Saints (NFC playoff team) and should have beaten the Panthers (another NFC playoff team). At the end of the the 2013 season, that was a pretty rough schedule, but it wasn't known pre-season, many games went against what many experts thought in the beginning of the season.

I don't buy the tough schedule stuff before the season.

Yeah it doesn't seem particularly tough to me, if we're still a mediocre team it'll seem tough (as would any schedule) but if we've made the transition to a good team it won't seem tough.

teams change every year outside of a few and games that look hard(like the Atl game you mentioned) turn out easier and games that look easy turn out harder. It's really impossible to say how difficult a sched really is until teams start playing games.
