But PFF did give him pretty good coverage grades the past two years—well above average. Not sure how that corresponds with the > 70% completion rate, but take it for what it’s worth.

Yards per target is a better picture than comp pct and for the last two seasons, he's been solid in yds/tgt. 5.6 and 6.9
He gave up 7 TD passes in his first two seasons but only 1 in the last three. The passer rating into his coverage has steadily improved too. The last three seasons, 56.2, 33.3, and 66.2.

Davis allowed 7 TDs in his first two seasons combined, but only 1 in the last 3 combined.
