Dolphins' assistants not allowed to seek other jobs

They should have said "Except for you Mike you can go".

I'm opposed to that. I would have to probably wait for 15 minutes just to get some fries. First the fry person would hand the fries off to the burger guy who would quickly lateral to the shake girl who would probably fumble the fries requiring the mop guy to come in forcing Mularkey to contemplate what went wrong. 15 minutes later maybe I get my fries. I'm doing Burger King if he gets hired
:lol2:

I think thats a great idea not to let any of them leave. If we let them go, Nick will just pick them up.

I think I read somewhere that colleges don't have to seek permission to pursue pro coaches - that's why we haven't been able to stop the coaches that have left us for Saban's staff from leaving us.

Saban is responsible for the bind the assistants are in. He hired most of them, then left them high and dry. They are under contract and util we find a coach, they will have to wait.

I love the idea of locking up Capers, but denying Garrett an opportunity for a OC job shows a lack of class

not in the least.
The Phins probably don't know whether Garrett will be the next OC, but they certainly don't want to eliminate him as a possibility for the new head coach. As soon as a new coach is in place, Garrett will either be promoted or allowed to seek promotion elsewhere. If the timing suks and Garrett loses out on an opportunity (such as Cleveland), then he has Saban to blame, not the Phins.
