You're not missing anything. It was a joke. Omar isn't going to Pittsburgh, though he did say in an earlier podcast that he might be retiring by the end of the year.

This has been a really great off-season. I stopped reading his crap long ago so he didn't affect me directly, but inevitably the people who liked his **** stirring would post his stuff here. That would bring out the trolls and the negative nancy's who seem to make up his reader base and make the board intolerable. Maybe we'll get lucky enough to have him replaced with a proper journalist (who reports verified facts and has sources) and we'll be able to rely on local Miami news outlets for actual Dolphin news.

i disagree with him quite often, but a lot of times he is the most prolific tweeter during camp and what-not, and i like to read camp tweets while i'm pooping (eating, waiting for a meeting, etc.).

if he leaves and someone replaces him, he better be very active with the informational tweets (i can do without any agenda or hot takes or clickbait).

You guys should really inundate his twitter about having fun in Pittsburgh or saying good bye and/or good riddance. If it isn't true, and it seems it's not, it'll still be funny.

Local Media reporters are a dying breed...

Rarely do they bring events and movements on a reasonable time line.
Hear local yocals who don't seem to have experience or insight on topics thinking they have a clue with exposed info 2 days later. Damn they probably never even played football or did in prehistoric times.

Internet has pushed them out of the reporting business and more trying to sell the fish wrap they expound, repeatedly. We get our own news faster than them Here in FH ( best thing about FH, IMO ) and all through the internet. Now a slight few are credible and worth while, IMO, 1 example Barry Jackson...He breaks news the others wiil be talking about the next day or so,

Things are moving toward more Twitter & u-tubish or short online videos.
Damn the Omars, Poups and Scads, would be gone now if it wasn't for the large finickle public. Check out Fins News most breaking stuff seen hours or days after Our Breaking News timeline.

It's just a sign of the times and moving forward in which the major Media branch falls apart and then their providers get straighten out in the fairness dept and not leading our society through Their BS...We'd better hope and pray for...(last paragrph not JMO but fact . )

yeah it was a joke, Bigo was poking fun at omar saying he was going to work for steelers cus his new best bud FLO is there. Omar does have something in the works tho and might be leaving his current job. Not sure id miss him, he flip flops alot and is wrong about like half of what he talks about.

I won't argue that it could be Pittsburgh part is possibly a joke but either way, stills seem he may finally be on his way out, everyone's time comes to an end this just took too long. I wouldn't have a problem with mods changing the title to Dolphins Beat Writer Omar Kelly leaving Sun Sentential.
