Tyreek Hill to the New England Patriots.

Hill has been at the center of Dolphins headlines this offseason. It actually started when he voiced his frustrations at the end of a disappointing 2024 campaign in Miami, both for the Fins (who finished below .500 for the first time since 2019) and Hill (who missed the Pro Bowl for the first time in his nine-year career). The star receiver publicly expressed a desire to play elsewhere, an idea the Dolphins nixed and Hill himself quickly backtracked on. However, I'm not convinced Miami will keep him, considering his off-field issues and the fact that the franchise can save nearly $15 million by moving him, per Over The Cap. The Dolphins might be wary of trading within the division, but if not, the Patriots and Drake Maye certainly could use Hill's services in the passing attack. New England has admirably overhauled the offense this offseason, and Hill would continue that trend by giving Josh McDaniels a guy who can elevate his attack to the next level due to his speed and field-stretching ability.

Jalen Ramsey to the Los Angeles Rams.

Ramsey and the Dolphins have mutually agreed to explore trade options, and there's no doubt the Rams are a realistic landing spot. Even head coach Sean McVay has commented on the possibility of reuniting with the veteran cornerback in Los Angeles, where Ramsey helped the franchise win a Super Bowl in the 2021 season. He is still playing at a high level despite turning 30 years old last October and would add championship experience to the team's secondary. If the two sides can strike a deal, it could be a key move in Los Angeles' quest to get back to the Super Bowl.

I'm all for moving on from Tyreek if we must but no way I'm trading him to a division rival, send him to the Giants or something

We ranked number 6 not shabby

6. Miami Dolphins

Miami and the next team on this list remind me of each other in that they’re both getting overlooked a bit more than their talent level suggests. Yes, the Dolphins have flaws, and I would not pick them to win the Super Bowl. But we also know that they're usually in the playoff mix when Tua Tagovailoa is healthy. That's not to say Miami will steal the AFC East from the Bills. But if Tua’s healthy and the offense is firing on all cylinders, that could be good enough for a 9-8 or 10-7 wild-card
Good Lord, I can't remember seeing a tougher schedule, probably ever, then what the Giants have coming up this season

Ranking every teams defensive triplets…Dolphins dead last:

32. Miami Dolphins

Triplets: Chop Robinson, Jordyn Brooks, Ifeatu Melifonwu

The Dolphins get the last spot because of the high chance Jalen Ramsey will be traded before training camp. If Ramsey does end up being moved, it’s not a stretch to say this could be the worst secondary in the league. Robinson had a strong rookie season and is healthy, unlike Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips.

Offensively we were 17th on the triplet list:

17. Miami Dolphins

Triplets: Tua Tagovailoa, De’Von Achane, Tyreek Hill

This could be the last year we see Hill in a Dolphins jersey. In 2024, Hill failed to reach 1,000 yards for the first time in his nine-year career, mainly because Tagovailoa, again, had injuries, being sidelined for six games. On the ground, Achane was terrific, rushing for 907 yards and six touchdowns on 4.5 YPC.

Also disingenuous to not mention Reeks wrist injury as a big factor to why he didn’t get 1k yards…yes Tuas injury had a part but I’d argue Reeks injuries and lack of motivation played a bigger part than Tua missing 6 games

Tyreek’s wrist was obviously a factor, but I think when your QB’s are only completing 50% of their passes and throwing for just over 100 yards per game that’s got to be the biggest factor.

Players that could hold out of camp:

Jalen Ramsey, CB

Status: The team is seeking a trade

Ramsey is on his way out of South Florida after just two seasons.

General manager Chris Grier said in April that the team was actively looking to move Ramsey, but the financial ramifications were too great to trade him before June 1. Now that the calendar has turned, a trade might materialize soon.

Jonnu Smith, TE

Status: Seeking new contract

Smith signed a two-year, $8.4 million deal with Miami last offseason and turned in the best statistical season by a Dolphins tight end in history (88 receptions, 884 yards, 8 TDs). Now he's looking for a pay increase, and although Miami briefly entertained a trade, that looks unlikely to happen. -- Marcel Louis-Jacques

Who steps up in the secondary?

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey is publicly on the trade block, but there is no obvious replacement on a team that was looking for a starting cornerback before deciding to move the former All-Pro.

Kader Kohou has been a starter, albeit primarily at nickel back, throughout his career. Can players such as fellow corners Cam Smith or Ethan Bonner take a major step forward in their development, or will the Dolphins rely on veteran free agents to fill the void? -- Marcel Louis-Jacques

lol yep

2011 draft redo…I forgot how absolutely stacked this draft class was…would’ve been so much better to trade up from 12 to 3 in a draft like this instead of the Dion Jordan draft. Still crazy that we only gave up a 2nd to move up from 12 to 3 back then, like everything else inflation sucks lol.

Cam Newton Von Miller JJ Watt Julio Jones AJ Green Tyron Smith Cameron Jordan Cameron Hayward Jason Kelce Richard Sherman etc, man what a draft

15. MIAMI DOLPHINS: EDGE ROBERT QUINN, NORTH CAROLINA(ROUND 1, PICK 14)

Quinn's career wasn't all elite, but he had a few seasons where he was a major impact player, including in 2013, when he earned a 93.4 PFF pass-rush grade with 19 sacks and a 17.3% pass-rush win rate. He also recorded 18.5 sacks in 2021, albeit on a less impressive 13.4% win rate that season.
