it's Week 2, his track record gives him the benefit of the doubt if he starts off 0-2(which will not happen). The man guided this team to a division title after starting 1-4,2-5 in 2002 and they looked as bad if not worse during that stretch than they did yesterday.

Alot of folks overreact, Chad threw the ball very well he just couldn't hold on to it when he got hit and Mawae fumbled a few snaps. he'll be fine, I am very encouraged w/ the way he looked physically, once he gets the O down mentally and stops thinking and just plays this O will be hard to stop.

That's interesting... every person I've heard (aside from you) seems to agree that Chad's arm strength was pathetic.

I'll be there

I live in JerZ & I love all the crying that I hear from the Jets' fans. I hope Saban gets the team ultra-focused this week, as I'll be at the game. Looks like the offensive scheme of the Jets isn't sticking w/ the players yet. If we become aggressive on D we should be able to get some turnovers. I can't belive what I hearing already....."put that Fiedler guy in in!" Music to my ears.

his arm was fine, not every throw was perfect but overall he threw the ball well when he had time to throw. he had some drops that could have changed the game and obviously his fumbles and Mawae's bad snaps killed us but he threw it well.

Good post... BUT... before we get too ****y...this fact could work against us...

Jets are already in a do or die game, in this the second week of the NFL.

IMO... it could make them very dangerous... especially at the Meadowlands...

Looks like Chads arm is gone. Sucks for him, hes one of the better young QB's in the league.

Who will they trade for?

Herm doesn't have to be a great x's and o's guy. I don't think his job is in any danger and I don't think its a must win for them in week 2.
Although I hope they do go 0-2, I don't see him losing his job soon.

Did you watch the game? His arm was fine it was fumbling the ball unless you think his weak arm caused the fumbles and bad snaps from mawae.

he doesn't have to be b/c he is surrounded w/ great coordinators.

herm isn't going anywhere -- until they miss the playoffs 2 years in a row herm will stay -- i like herm personally and hope he stays.

as for chad's fumbles - 2 were his fault and mawae took the blame on the rest with his awful snapping -- look for him to own zach thomas next week

Yeah, I did I also watched Chad play at Marshall for 4 yrs. Hes a great QB, but something is wrong with that arm.

I dont see how Herm is ovverrated, Playoffs three out of four years with no talent to speak off. Seems like a good coach to me. Not the best but good.

Some of the people amaze me. edwards is a good coach who has constantly made chicken salad out of chicken shyt. Having said that I wish him (jets) ill will this Sunday!

his arm was fine- he completed over 60% and over 200 yards -- hit 7 different rcvrs and 5 of them had a 10+ yard avg per catch

stats wise he had a better game then trent green in completions/yards/and avg -- just can't make the stupid ececution mistakes -- that will kill the best team in football
