Dolphins Charles Clay named most disappointing NFL tight end so far

Fantasy stats can kiss my ass. Just finished re-watching the game vs the Raiders (the boring TNF matchup can be had later on on a condensed format) and despite Clay's supposed injury, he's done a pretty damn good job with his run blocking and pass release blocks.

Production wise he hasn't produced the same numbers but we're also spreading the ball around at a much more proficient rate. 9 players with receptions Sunday and 7 had multiple catches, including Clay.

he doesnt have his speed as he did last year, when they send Dion sims down field more often then Clay its obvious Clay has some issues still with that knee.

His limited role is fine with me. I have all the confidence in the world that when he's 100% he'll be the force he was last year. Teams are not ready for what lazor has in store for him once he's healthy. Heh

Clay will be fine not his fault he's banged up and Tannehill was horrible first three games

Gotta wonder if that knee injury will be a chronic thing.

It is what it is....injured, hasn't been many opportunities....hopefully he gets healthy and can contribute the way he did last season.

I dont think it has much to do with his injury. He's been playing at full speed. A lot more of his snaps are going to Dion Simms, and some are even going to a 4th WR, but I think that has more to do with game planning and assignments than it does Clay's injury.

I have also noticed, opposing players are going at the knees a lot when Clay has the ball. I don't know if I am putting too much into this, but it's what it seems like to me.

They can go pound sand in their collective azz. I consider Clay the LEAST disappointing TE so far, and my opinion is as good as theirs.

So there!

damn this is really awful!

^^(What'd I'd be saying if I drafted him on my fantasy team)

we've had 2 games with 30+ points and I think as he heals we will find a way to incorporate him more.

he just hasn't been all that involved in the gameplan yet...i do think he moved better this last week...so i think health wise he's headed in the right direction...they ran some stuff for him this last game and he made good on them...across the middle of the field etc...

Actually most would say that Vernon Davis is the most disappointing TE this season.

Anyone know the knee injury he has? Seems like it's taking awhile to heal and noticed a big knee brace he's wearing.

All true, facts are the facts, I love what Clay did last year and size, speed, shoe size are not an issue with me. He has the tools to be special as we saw last year but so far this year doesn't have it period. I hope it's due to not being 100% but if not, he's just another mediocre.
