Dolphins Combine Meetings

If Warren falls to us at 13 we need to have the brains and balls to just make the pick. If he doesn't fall to us we should pick the best oline piece left on the board. I'd love to see us draft an actual Guard who is a road grader and is not a converted Tackle. A huge powerful, athletic guy who has a high football IQ, played for a great program in school and stays healthy. I wouldn't worry about reaching, overdrafting or any of the terms invented by draft guys. I would get a conviction on a guy and I'd go get him. One thing, be right about this pick! If we get Warren at 13 we should draft the best oline piece with #2 and snag a QB in round 3. I'd love to get Jaxson Dart, something tells me he'll be the top QB coming out of this class. I know he's rated far below Sanders and Ward and even Ewers but I like this guy. He is going to be a star at the next level imo. He throws a beautiful deep ball, moves well and is accurate.
I like Dart too. There’s a dynamic element there. I also like Donovan Jackson from Ohio State at LG. Guy just is a competent, productive football player who I think can also bring leadership. If you sign a quality veteran free agent guard, and pair him with Jackson in the second round, all of a sudden our O line looks a lot better. Would love CJ West but there are other D tackles too. Problem is so many needs.

This is my nightmare fuel.

Selecting a highly unimpactful position like tight end at 13 in one of the deepest tight end classes ever.

Waiting for scraps for our most needful position at oline in round 2

Drafting a 5th round talent in the third like Dart, who’s a serious project and is only getting looks because of how dreadful this qb class is. Dude would be like qb 10 in next years class.

While I have little interest in taking a TE in the first round, I really don't see an OL that I really want at anywhere near 13.

Banks and Membou both bring all pro caliber potential at guard and bring the versatility to kick outside if needed.

You're not going to find that later in the draft. You may find a guy that can play guard but won’t be an nfl starting caliber tackle. The issue we have is yes we might have some pieces in place and just need guards, the reality is Paul is raw and we don’t know what we have. Jackson doesn’t have a great injury history. I think that’s what people are overlooking. Is guard at 13 ideal? No but think of it more as hedging our bets at a unit that’s been in shambles for decades.

They both bring all pro potential at tackle as well IMO.

They have the best tackle tape and fit the scheme to T as far being great run blockers at the 2cd level.

Here's the thing.... the FA oline group is not deep, proabably half of them will be resigned by their current teams before FA opens. There is a chance were not getting a good gaurd out of FA.

You might not like the oline in the draft but when FA opens your gonna like that group alot less and there are alot of teams needing gaurds and almost all of them have more money than we do.

You wont have to worry about Dart, he will go late day 1 or early day 2.

BTW, who is coming out in next year's draft that you think he will be QB10? Next year will suck too.

The issue with Banks is. He's never played OG before. So there is no guarantee he's going to have a smooth transition to playing a position he's never played before. It might take some time for him to get acclimated. If that's the case, it make selecting him @ #13 a wasted opportunity.

After Booker's poor combine performance I heard scouts requested him to stay after combine and workout at Center.

As of now I am trading down and taking Harmon who I think will be a stud DT.

Then in round 2 I like the Arizona OG or Ratledge. Milum is another possibility there.

Then we will have 2 3rds. We can address DB LB or S depending on how the board goes.

DB Burke or Porter, LB Stutsman, S Mukuba are some players I would like in that round.
