I think if Shockey wasn't in NYC, he would just be another average player. I just don't think he is a "star" or someone you can count on all the time. The Giants won a SB and played much better without him. I think he is too much of a primma donna for my tastes. :rolleyes:
 
If healthy he is better then any TE in this draft.

Since I don't have us drafting one till the 3rd round I would offer our 3rd for Shockey.

But, if Healthy Shockey is definitely worth more. I just don't feel TE is as big a need to be spending anything more then a 3rd on.
 
In no way is this a good move. Shockey is such a me player. Do we really think there is no correlation between his injury and Elis success when Shockey was out?

The guy spits in the face of continuity and teamwork.

i wouldnt sign him for the vet minimum let alone a DP.
 
I can see why im in the minority, but i really want Shockey. He has his issues, but he plays the game with intensity and as stated earlier brings a swagger to the offence that cant be seen on paper. With that being said, hes shown he can be dominant, but hasnt been consistent enough to warrant a #32 pick....make it a #64 and u got a deal
 
Not worth the second. Maybe a third round pick and a conditional fifth or sixth next year...I Think I'd do that.

maybe a change of scenery will do him good.. id trade david martin and cam worrell for shockey str8 up lol... sounds fair to me.. or am i being baised ;)

your being biased. No way the giants would accept that offer. Maybe Martin, Worrell and a 3rd
