There's only one reason to keep Needham, he would be a big help with the tank

Boundary options we have X and a oft injured Rowe. After that we are talking Minkah, who they don’t want to use out there.

Needham had his struggles in preseason but if he has been the next best boundary in all of camp, by default you have to keep him for now.

I figure Kiko Alonso is getting cut. Several more Olinemen and a RB and another WR. That should finish it off

Hendrix looks like someone to build on, but didn't see too much of Ledbetter to get a good read. Can't believe my eyes when i look at edge lineup.

Nick DeLuca was another one I thought they liked - I've missed so many now I must not be any good at it

To state the obvious, no fans know what the coaching staff thinks of these bottom 20 or so players. They see them i practice every day. They put them in game situations to see if they sink or swim. Fans don't know the 'situations,' so they don't know if a player was successful or not. what potential/upside do they see? Those factors, unknown to fans, play a significant part of roster decisions. All that said, I was surprised by Tank and Armstrong.

we do like to guess

Still have Wiltz and Lammons at CB before Needham

Wiltz will be very active in the slot and Lammons is also more slot but makes it for special teams.

On the boundary, Needham has been above anybody else in camp. Its not a great group but that is why he sticks, if he sticks.

Washington, Ledbetter, Wilkins and Hendrix give Miami the inside/outside versatility they seem to like. Harris and Orchard give them the standup/hand in the dirt edge flexibility they like. Think this is why these guys made the team.
