do nothing if he wants that contract. If no teams are interested he gets cut and he knows he goes to a team that wants him. Barring that, he'll get to choose his next team. I don't see Kiko reducing his salary unless he really wants to stay in Miami, and Coach Flo has made it clear he's moving on from older players like Gore, Tannehill, Wake, Hayes, McDonald, and when the dead cap space gets reduced, Reshad. Kiko knows his days are numbered and he's not going to be given an honest shot to start. He knows he'll be cut. This is just how the game is played when a team tanks ….. errr "rebuilds."If Kiko wants outa town bad enough, he'll be willing to rework his contract after seeing that zero teams were interested in taking it on.
I bet Hyde does well in Houston. His style complements their style of play. He'll get an opportunity to show how he can do as a feature back, and every RB wants that chance these days. My guess is that Hyde is super-excited about this trade.
If Hurns is gonna cost us $2 million more for being on the roster come September 7th, then we have a WR on the trade block, and I doubt it's him as he lacks much trade value IMHO. Stills or Parker. And if it happens, we keep Hurns and roll with 5 WR. We could have cut Hurns and kept Ford and saved money. If we want to keep the vet for more $, then I think there is a reason beyond the fact that he is a vet. We didn't keep the cheap vet DE.
Great move not cutting Kiko. Even if you never actually trade him, eff any team that sat back and didn't trade for him because they thought we had to cut him. That's how you play that!
I might be missing it but I don't see Hartage or Hanks on that list.Miami Dolphins
