Bahaaaa haaa haaa, you want proof that teams try to send mixed signals and hide their intentions during the draft? LMAO! We got duped by the Patriots with Carroo because rumor was they were going to draft him. The draft is all about positioning to the team's best interest and that includes showing fake interest in players.....just like not attending workouts and selecting players happens all the time.

WHY? Cause Barley is a beast. He can run well and also catch. We can get a QB next year since we probably pick between #1 Or #4. Face it. This team right now is garbage. We need a game changer on offence. We probably draft a 3rd round bust TE and next year 2nd we probably get a bust Safety. Barkley is a sure thing. Plus getting top QB in 2018 a sure thing. Who cares about a 3rd round pick this year and a 2nd round pick next year. Give me Barkley

Or, we can keep our 3rd this year & 2nd in '19 and take GUICE @ 11. Him & BARKLEY are 1a & 1b for me. Both those guys are going to be GREAT!
 
Any trade up from 11 it's going to set this team back even further. We'd be giving up high picks that we need to build up this team.
Think about times when we have giving up multiple picks to get ONE player.
Carroo...was it worth it?
Ricky Williams.....we gave up a pair of 1st plus a 2nd. Ricky was good but we didn't have the picks to build around him
Huge Green(back in the 80's) we gave up a pair a first round picks and that set us back as well
99.9% of the time it doesn't work.

Yes I know is different with a QB but you still need players around him to help him win and giving away picks is not the way to do it

The Dolphins rallying cry this whole offseason has been “changing the culture” and a locker full of better “leaders.” Baker Mayfield wouldn’t be the person that immediately comes to mind when striving for the qualities with that modus operandi in place. In fact, the opposite would be the case.

people sure love being stupid, don't they? Look at me I drink, smoke, etc because I hate my life lol. You think happy people do that sort of stuff? Its no wonder why the world doesn't change and gets worse, folks. All that aside, Mayfield resembles Jonny Manziel. We all saw how that worked out after he got big money. Again, no thanks to Baker.

Guice is a good runner, but not much used as a pass catcher.
 
The Dolphins getting Mayfield would easily be the best thing that could happen to improving the team. It makes so much sense, given the Dolphins FO penchant for F'ing up the team, they would pass over him if he fell to #11.

Not sure how you got a “straight edge” alignment out of anything that I said by posting the facts of his history.

I think that it says a lot more about you as a person than me, when trying to shift away from the subject matter and make it personal. I’m not the one being drafted by the NFL or under the microscope.

IMO, he just wasn't given the chance. It can also be taught. With the GORE signing, he couldn't learn the nuances of playing RB in the NFL from anyone better. Just a thought, as supposedly the DOLPHINS have serious interest. Although I've been around long enough to know its smoke screen season.

Ah yes, the conspiracy theory guy. Youre absolutely right, because of the patriots jedi mind tricks, they forced us to believe we needed to trade up to get carro. Otherwise we probably had no intentions of even drafting that guy. Still no proof but good stuff.

Two things:
The jets gave up more than that to move up 3 spots.

Mortgaging their future to draft a RB is a bad idea imo. Shelf life is very small, and they can draft productivity later. Also, Drake looks really good in his admittedly small sample last year
