It's not fair to compare DGB to Green. Green is on a completely other level with his precision and foot quickness from DBG. There is no other big receiver on Green's level -- not in college and not in the NFL either. He's a bigger Marvin Harrison, that's why he's so special. DGB is not that at all. He's much more linear.
That's an impressive 3 cone but Roberto Wallace ran a 6.8 3 cone at 6'4 and 224 pounds and what was Sherman's nickname for him? Ankle weights or something like that?
Roberto Wallace pro day workout:
Height: 6037
Weight: 223
40 Yrd Dash: 4.48
20 Yrd Dash: 2.56
10 Yrd Dash: 1.47
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 19
Vertical Jump: 36 1/2
Broad Jump: 10'03"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.12
3-Cone Drill: 6.80
About as impressive as you'll ever see from a big WR.
DGB is obviously a much better prospect than Wallace ever was, I'm just saying you have to look at these workout numbers with the proper perspective.
Looks like a cinci character risk pick to me...
He couldn't separate because he had no idea how to run routes or use his hips. The 3 cone is a bit overrated for WRs. Landry is able to get so much separation because his use of hips is ridiculous.
Rashad Greene is going to really good in the NFL. His ability to sink his hips effortlessly is top in this class.
I'm not a fan of Kevin White.
I'm sorry, but this is just false. You can see DGB and how natural he is. You can also see that he lacks Green's refinement, but DGB is every bit as smooth and fluid as Green - despite weighing 26 lbs more than Green. Times are relevant. Film is also relevant. If you think DGB looks like Roberto Wallace, I'll agree to disagree. DGB comes with red flags, but that's why he's even an option at 14. Without the missed season and off-field concerns, he would be the top WR in the draft. When you have a guy that big, who can move that well, he's basically impossible to cover 1-on-1.

You think landry separates a lot in the pros...i think he wins early and hes so polished it makes up for lack of long speed and separation but i dont know that he separates all that much...such a quality route runner
Amari cooper and rashad green separate really well out of cuts and so does that perriman kid although his are just pure physical gifts at this stage...no real polish
I think you're aware I didn't say that.
You have an opinion about DGB. It's neither "true" nor "false". I don't see feet on the same level as Green. Not even very close actually. Which isn't to say he can't be a successful receiver without feet like that. No big receivers have feet like Green.
I'm actually not all that concerned about DGB's character. I think that stuff has been overstated. I simply don't have as sunny a view of his upside and physical gifts as a player as most people do. Vincent Jackson is an overly rosy comparison but much more apropos. And he was a second rounder.
I think Landry separates well. He does win early but when hes able to get the DB on his hip he separates well enough. I think its when there are shorter routes like slants and outs he usually doesn't get a ton of separation because he doesn't have the best acceleration. When he gets to mid to deep routes the separation shows.
Cooper is the best WR in the draft. I really want Greene with our 2nd pick or trade down and get him. He's going to be good in the NFL. Perriman is raw as hell but he definitely plays as his timed 40 speed. His acceleration is nuts for someone his size. He does have some decent route running to him though.
