Things can change, but source tells me Jason Fox is making the Dolphins. For now. Backup T.
 
If the team can get a quality DB or upgrade at TE2, why not trade Matthews? Everyone here wants to get Landry involved. People feel comfortable about Gibson's return and if you are going to keep Williams, a Matthews trade could benefit the team.

But I think a big issue is with Ireland it was his way or no way with players. Or at least as we saw he and Philbin did not work well together. Ireland for whatever reason couldn't comprehend that players he liked didn't necessarily fit with what our coaches wanted to do. This offseason anyway Hickey has shown that he at least is willing to get players that fit what Philbin wants.

So far from what we have seen would like him to have another offeseason or two to shape the roster.

As far as Darkwa is concerned, I like him. I don't think he is ready yet, but I am not sure he makes it through the waiver wire if we release him. I would be fine with them keeping him as the 4th back right now and maybe sign a veteran after week 1. Then you can move Darkwa to the practice squad and not risk losing him. If someone picks him off of the PS, he needs to be put on their 53, which I don't think will happen. I am afraid of losing him, Hazel and either Kamal Johnson or Garrison Smith. I think 1 of those 2 will be on our roster. Hoping Hazel makes it too...

Watched the game few minutes ago, Darkwa is not ready. Nice size, but I noticed him going 75% on several runs. He had the opportunity to really impress during the game and he played as if he was already on the team.

Jerry Rice took every rep, every practice, every game seriously, these kids need to learn that as well or face the consequences.

It actually looked like as he was running through holes, he was anticipating getting hit, instead of just running hard...it looked strange at times.
 
Im ok with fox for now but if you are gonna keep him you have to make him active on game day otherwise it makes no sense...you aren't developing him...but I bet if one guy goes up front for another teams player he's the likely one
 
Good for Johnson. He had a nice recovery from a bad spring.
 
Since Thigpen is gone, I believe we see Damie/an Williams returning kicks and Jarvis Landry has proven he can handle punt returns. I hope to see Miami keep Fede. He and Jordan will be great change of pace down lineman and get after the QB. Solid up front.

Dolphins told have QB Seth Lobato they are releasing him but indicated they likely will sign him to practice squad.
