Dolphins Final Cuts

Dolphins have informed DE Tevin Mims and DT Garrison Smith that they are being released, but Dolphins interested in Smith for practice squad

Like Smith on the PS, and that should bring us to 7 moves left.

“@ArmandoSalguero: Undrafted rookie free agents seemingly making roster: A.Johnson, Darkwa, McCain, Damien Williams, probably Hoskins.”

That crazy...

It does seem like a lot but we also got 3 guys not playing to start the year pouncey Jordan jones

that could mean two things:

1. These players are gems and we have a great undrafted rookie class and...

2. We seriously lacked depth before they came.
We absolutely lacked depth...we had Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas at RB last year...Gillislee was only active for about 5 games. And at TE we had Charles Clay...Sims was disappointing last year but hopefully he's better this year.

They haven't announced if Pouncey going to PUP yet.

“@MikeKlis: #Broncos waive RB Kapri Bibbs. Former Colorado State star”

I was a big fan of Bibbs in the draft. Probably a little Too much..

I'm pretty upset with the way they handled Hazel. He couldn't have done more to prove his upside considering who was throwing to him. Surely Coyle and O'Keefe have seen the same flashes in private practices. His Thursday nite performance only confirmed what they likely knew. If their intent was to sneak him unpoached onto the practice squad, what could have been more idiotic than providing him with a national and receiver-hungry scouting stage to showcase himself to other teams. If they were on the fence, he more than adequately showed that he qualified for the 53.. there's nothing he did or didn't do that played him out of contention.. only solidified it.. Really dumb move keeping him in and letting him shine. Bye Hazel, we hardly knew ye.

Are we including Pouncey on the roster, as we should?

The Dolphins are bringing in a TE recently cut by Seahawks for a workout:

Dolphins have informed OL Evan Finkenberg and Tony Hills that they are being released.Fins have announced nothing, but 15 of 20 moves done

I don't know that I like the brenner thing...unless they think pouncey is very close...the backup center is probably garner but he struggled with snaps also

Who have the Seahawks cut at tight end?

That's true, but outside of darkwa, you can make a case for any of them having a roster spot, if not here, than somewhere else. Also have to add in Damian Williams and Fede as roster "long shots" hickey found a lot of talent at the bottom of the barrel.

Personally, I would be surprised if performances in the fourth preseason game makes a lick of difference to a players value in the vast majority of cases. I think you can hurt your chances, which is what might have happened with Thigpen, but you can't do much to help them at that point.

Wrong thread but:

How bad was Stephen Hill to be cut by the Jets already? Geez that's crazy!

He is going on the PS for sure. I think hoops had a really good take on the situation -- even if you like the guy, he's not one of the best 5 WR and he doesn't help you right now. You put him on the PS, and if someone else picks him up, well, good for Hazel, but you need guys who can help you win right now.
