Dolphins frontrunners for Steelers WR Mike Wallace

He might be willing to settle though now. Pitt just slapped him in the face with the Brown deal. And if someone offers him 5 years at 50 mil plus giving up a pick...im pretty sure he would take it. I don't know that though...maybe he's willing to sit out the year...or maybe he will sign the tender and test FA next year.

when wallace first came in the league only thing he could run was the straight vertical...he's developed his ability to gear down with little wasted movement and make cuts out of it against bailing dbs...but he has the tools...edmund gates has those same tools...just not as refined

for instance jeff fuller no way at this level is that guy ever gonna drive dbs back and force them to respect his deep speed and work off of it...dbs are gonna sit on routes with him all over the field...yeah you can run some slants and some stop go stuff in the red zone like they did with him at a & m but dbs at this level are gonna figure out real fast that they don't have to respect him and its gonna be an uphill climb as a result...i don't care if he's torching camp bodies so far

Wallace is younger than Gates, and he's still growing.

What does Mcdaniels make? I have no idea, and Hartline and Gates can't free up much space.
 
i think if you had gates and wallace in your 53 barring injury gates would never sniff the field...and develop in game action

wallace also played against legit sec competition...gates played against beer league pretty much...he's raw but you got to realize that the odds on that being the case given where he came from and what he's faced are substantial...heck the fact he saw the field coming from that level comp to the pros last year was a coup
