Dolphins have 'expectation of mastery' for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa

There are plenty of QB’s not in the HoF who have won playoff games. Again, it’s lazy and now you’re using hyperbole and straw men tactics.

Wins, all wins, are team accomplishments.
That's ridiculous. If you don't win a single playoff game as a NFL QB then you didn't have a good NFL career. It's that simple and you know it.

BS. About a third of all HoF NFL QB’s won 1 or 0 playoff games in their careers.

Again, using wins, regular or postseason, as an individual accomplishment is lazy and shortsighted. There’s just so much context being left out with that line of thinking.

Incorrect.

There are three quarterbacks in the Pro Football Hall of Fame who did not win a single playoff game in their NFL careers: Y.A. Tittle, Sammy Baugh, and Tuffy Leemans.

Only one of those dudes even wore a face mask, and it was 1 bar

This might be that manning game. They had the ball for less than a quarter 4 possessions 4 tds we kicked one fg had over 3 quarters of possession and I think celebrated that fg even and lost.

This is what elite qbs do to you. They cut your heart out.

I think we sat wake his rookie year and played washed up Joey porter. Figures lol

Also folks wanted to put a statue of Chad penningtons corpse outside the stadium. I kid you not. 🤡

Boy that brings back bad memories. I was at that game. It was the home opener in 2009.
All I remember is the Colts had the ball for less than 15 minutes I think and still won.
I also remember the ball going through Ted Ginn’s hands in the end zone on the last drive that could have won it. Ugh! :bang:

Wait what? Seriously what are you talking about?
I wrote that about a third of all HoF QB’s won 0 or 1 playoff games. You claimed that was incorrect and changed the parameters of what I wrote.

Not to mention that you claimed no QB can have a good career without winning a playoff game. You named three that obviously did have great careers and never won a playoff game.

Those guys are dinosaurs, the game has changed a bit in the past 50 years in case you haven't noticed. Especially the playoffs.

Name 1 QB in the HoF other than dinosaurs Y.A. Tittle, Sammy Baugh, and Tuffy Leemans who never won a playoff game, let alone 33%. You're way off.

😂

Keep moving those goalposts.
You make no sense. Of those 3 QBs Y.A Tittle is the young'n born in 1926

Of course you can't name one other than those 3 because they don't exist! 33% lmao.

Edit: I see you want to include the QB's that won 1 playoff game as well in the HoF. There's 1, Sonny Jurgensen. Congratulations...retired in 1974. Game has changed a bit since then.

I can’t remember if that was a sparano fist pump game or not. I feel like it probably was.

Yeah bad memories indeed. To go with all other ones in my lifetime as a dolphins fan.

Did you write this:

**Proceeds to find HoF QB’s that never won a playoff game.**

😂

Are your arms sore? How much do goalposts weigh anyhow?

We just have different words, with the same meaning.

In my book it is not possible to lack speed and quickness, and still be considered a good athlete. I define a good athlete as someone who has good/great speed and quickness relative to their size.

I also do not consider a quick release and great accuracy within 20 yards to be great arm talent, it's all in how you define the word.

JaMarcus Russell and Jeff George had tremendous arm talent in my book, it was lack of skill, accuracy and other traits that caused them to fail.

Tua is a very skilled QB, with excellent accuracy and a quick release. He doesn't have great arm talent in my book, but neither did Joe Montana and he turned out alright.

I don't think most people would argue Montana had more arm talent than say Brett Favre for example, but that didn't make Favre the better QB.
Yeah def interpretations of the word athleticism

For me that translates into the study of movement and coordination relative to sports

If someone can play baseball and football at a high level I consider that great athleticism regardless of their personal speed.

I would bet Tua can pick up any sport and look the part doing it.

So pretty hi level movement and coordination relative to position

These are your guys with 1 or 0 playoff wins. Back when there were less teams, less playoffs and that fancy new-fangled forward pass was much less prolific in the game than it is today. Congratulations?

Look at that Jurgenson had 2 bars! And the picture is in color too! :lmfao:
