Dolphins have 'expectation of mastery' for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa

Yep but why do we play the game? To win super bowls. You’re right about his regular season play but those 2 runs and plays made during them make him a no doubter for the HOF. Those are legendary plays at the biggest moments.
Agreed, Eli stepped up when it mattered most and deserves to be in the HoF because of it. His career is a testimony to the value of the playoffs in this league, and how little a .500 regular season record matters at the end of the day. This game is about winning Super Bowls.

No. When you run into a defender and knock yourself out for 4 weeks, then finish the year on IR again you aren't carrying jack s***. Not to mention his performance in the Texans game. Until Tua wins a game in the playoffs, he can't even be mentioned in the same breath as Joe Burrow as a franchise NFL QB.
I mean the team was 1-5 without him and 6-5 with him, he was obviously carrying the team regardless of his stupid decisions that got him injured. When on the field he carried an offense that looked like the worst in the league into the top 10 because not many QB's can play behind the kind of lines he's had to play behind and still have a functioning offense. Burrow is one of them btw, his OL has been just as bad as Tua's some seasons.

His performance against Houston was horrible but a lot of QB's had horrible games against that defense, even QB's with much better offensive lines. Josh Allen was 9/30 for 130 yards and Justin Herbert 14/32 for 242 yards and threw 4 picks against them in the playoffs and neither of them had Liam Eichenberg and Jackson Carmen protecting their blindside.

I hold him accountable for all the missed games in has career. Tuanon always says what you are saying right now which drives me crazy "but when he's healthy..."

Take the 4 mins to watch this. This is QB mastery. On the road against a division opponent. On Thursday night no less

Yeah and guys like cam newton are going down for not even going after that fumble that sat on the ground for what felt like an eternity in that one Super Bowl.

And rightfully he should.

Do you hold Burrow accountable for all his missed games?
Yes, he's held the team back with all his injuries too. Difference is he played in a Super Bowl and balled the f*** out last year. His career has been significantly better than Tua's after year 5.

No one in their right mind would take Tua over Burrow all things equal, I doubt even you. Well maybe you would, idk man lol. Back to work.

I reviewed all 3 of those picks vs Houston weren’t none of em cause of the oline. So that narrative has to stop.

When does training camp start?
A month or so away?

Can we dust off a few Coach and Grier topics until then?

Maybe ask Reek to go fishing?

This might be that manning game. They had the ball for less than a quarter 4 possessions 4 tds we kicked one fg had over 3 quarters of possession and I think celebrated that fg even and lost.

This is what elite qbs do to you. They cut your heart out.

I think we sat wake his rookie year and played washed up Joey porter. Figures lol

Also folks wanted to put a statue of Chad penningtons corpse outside the stadium. I kid you not. 🤡

There is no excuses for 6th yr qb. You either gotta it or u don't. That include winning a playoff game too.

Using playoff wins to determine individual player proficiency is about as lazy as one can get. I do think Burrow is better than Tua, but not by much.

I can't hold him accountable for ALL missed games just as I don't hold every QB accountable for missed games. That said, he's been in the league long enough to know when to give up on a play. So far, he doesn't. I'd rather he give up on a play than play hero-ball and miss 3-4 games. That's my biggest knock on him.

Yea, because the NFL is full of HoF QBs who never even won a single playoff game. Please.

Get it done.
There are plenty of QB’s not in the HoF who have won playoff games. Again, it’s lazy and now you’re using hyperbole and straw men tactics.

Wins, all wins, are team accomplishments.
