Ryan Tannehill now joins Bob Griese and Dan Marino as the only quarterbacks ever to be drafted in the first round by the Dolphins. Both of those guys are in the Hall Of Fame, and unlike other franchises, Miami has never missed on a first round quarterback.

Doesn't mean a whole lot, just an interesting fact.

Except that it's not true. Rick Norton was the 2nd overall pick by the Dolphins in 1966.

I'm a big fan of the Tannehill pick, don't get me wrong. But this factoid is spreading like wildfire and it just isn't correct.

New coach and a first round QB. It looks like we're heading in the right direction. Go Fins! :brewskis:

Correction: DON SHULA has never missed on a 1st-round QB. Rick Norton, anyone? Tannehill is the next Rick Norton.

Hey pal, how do you feel about the Dolphins drafting Tannehill. I certainly couldn't tell by your crying in every topic.

Yes, and taking two QB's in the first successfully make this a statistically significant event...NOT!
