We save $30 Million on 3 players that will want more money and we will gain draft picks so we have the picks to trade to be able to draft whatever player we want(A Luck).

U cant trade solai. He is making 12 million and is not under contract for next year. No team is paying 12 million for solai for his play this season, not even close.

yeah, lets trade Dansby to New England so he can kick our *** for the remainder of his contract. Look how Welker turned out.

He's stealing money, worst 12 million player I've ever seen.

The sad thing is if the FO really thought that Reggie could take the pounding of running between tackles game in and game out. he is not built for that. Not having a qb who can get him the ball on screens and quick slants consistently is a problem. But an OC who can't design an offense to adjust to his strengths is a waste. BD needs to study film on how Payton in NO was able to get Brees and Reggie on the same page the previous five seasons. He should've formulated some ideas even before Reggie arrived. Another example of how as a franchise we just ain't very smart.

problem is his agent is asking for top NT pay, we gave him a more than fair offer and they spit in our face because no matter what they are guaranteed the 12 million tag money. Personally in retrospect we should have just placed a transition tag on him so we could have matched any offer given to him. Now either his agent is gonna have to swallow his pride for him to come back or we just end up letting him sign elsewhere for much less than he is already asking for

Exactly. Dansby is the type of player who would burn us when going up against his former team. The Pats could certainly put him to good use to wreck havoc on us twice a year.

His situation is an example of a FO not thinking. A transition tag would've made more sense.

Where is the evidence that he can't take the pounding or isn't built for that? Is he injured?

I think the real issue is that he tries to take inside runs and turn them into "Barry Sanders" runs. With the speed of today's league, backs need to be "one-cut-and-go" guys.

Either the hole is there, a cutback lane is there, or nothing is there, in which case you have to try to hit it up hard and at least fall forward so you don't lose yardage.

Very little else is ever open on running plays in today's game, but Bush tries to make those openings with talent he really doesn't have at this level.

This is why Bush isn't effective inside IMO. It has nothing to do with strength or durability.

Jason Cole always seems so put upon when he is on the radio.

Someone should remind him he is stupid writer for Yahoo sports. BIG TIME GIG, buddy.

He is a fat piece of ****.

some of guys are crazy why in the hell would you trade Wake inside the division thats the dumbest thing i have ever heard!

Trade Fasano (5th), Carey (5th), Marshall (3rd), Starks (4th), S.Smith (3rd), Burnett (5th),and Merling (6th) and then package those picks to move around in the 3rd-4th rds.

I think those are reasonable asking prices except for the Carey one. Nobody is going to give up a 5th for Carey. Not sure what you could get for Burnett either. You have to take what the player is making into consideration. I'm positive you could get someone to take Smith for a 4th. Solid, young CB not making a lot of money. You could probably get your 2nd rounder back. He's not nearly as bad as people around here think he is. If I were GM I would put a value on the following players, taking into consideration performance, potential, age, injury and contract. Wake (1st) Marshall (2nd) Smith (2nd) Starks (4th) Merling (7th)...if I couldnt get that for anyone of those players I would keep them. Wake is cheap and an elite rusher, you keep him if you cant get a late 1st for him. Gave up too much for Marshall to trade him for less than a 2nd, plus he's still valuable. You arent going to get a better CB than Smith in the draft with a 3rd/4th rounder and you took the guy in the 2nd round 3 yrs ago and he hasnt been disappointing for a 2nd round CB so you dont trade him for anything less.
