Cornerback: The Dolphins have considerable faith in Jamar Taylor, and he figures to join Brent Grimes and a to-be-determined veteran among their top three corners. The Dolphins haven’t ruled out a return by Dimitri Patterson, but nothing was imminent on that front as of Thursday afternoon.

Miami has expressed interest in Tarell Brown and Walter Thurmond, and there are decent other options: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Tracy Porter, Captain Munnerlyn, Brandon Browner, Terell Thomas, Josh Wilson, EJ Biggers, Antonie Cason, Jabari Greer, plus past-their-prime Champ Bailey and Dunta Robinson. Several of those players have been taking visits elsewhere, including Browner and Thurmond with Washington (among a bunch of others with other teams).

Nolan Carroll signed with Philadelphia today, and Miami didn't tender RJ Stanford.

Brown or Thurmond would be solid.

i would really like to have patterson back at a deal that covers the team's a$$ in the event of injury and compensates the player.

Me as well. When he was playing opposite Grime that was a solid unit. That is when was playing ( 6 games I believe)
Some kind of incentive heavy deal based on games play would be the way to go. If Taylor steps up this year Patterson moves to the slot.

Patterson cannot stay healthy and left the secondary in a lurch last year.

Time to move on to someone more dependable.

I'd love to bring DRC in on a one or two year deal. Otherwise, my preference is Munnerlyn, Brown, and then Patterson.

I'd be very happy with Brown or Thurmond. They mentioned Antoine Cason is available too, I like him in the past, how has he preformed in the last couple years?

I love me some Tarell Brown. One of the MOST underrated CB's out there. Either of the 3 would be great. All perfect slot CB's.

I would really like to see Thurmond on the team. I feel he was undervalued in Seattle due to the imense talent in that Seattle secondary.

Opposite Grimes a CB with length to cover taller WR's and be stout in the redzone with run support ability lacking shyness to stick his head in and tackle is still a glaring need.

Taylor needs much more playing time.... Want to see the kid grow and i think he can grow into a good duo CB with grimes however we need to find a way to shut down the jimmy Grahams of the nfl.

Thurmond would be awesome. Teams should line up to steal players from Seattle's secondary.

I like Thurmond alot. But it's great to hear they are high on Taylor

Abramson comment sounds like the Dolphins are still confident in Taylor.

Eagles got Nolan Carroll real cheap. Dolphins just didn't want him to be the guy competing with Jamar Taylor for a starting spot.

Bring back Patterson. That guy made more plays in limited than I've seen out of the entire secondary in the past five years. He was better than Grimes when he was on the field.
