Dolphins interested in Eugene Monroe

Breaking News: "The Dolphins will be looking to sign an offensive lineman..... More in a minute"

I would not be making fun of this too much. There is going to a market for the LT's. Miami, Baltimore, Arizona....and now Carolina. More teams than OT's.

Albert allowed 4 sacks and Monroe 5. By comparison, Dolphins left tackles allowed 14 sacks last season --- seven each by Jonathan Martin and Bryant McKinnie. I know sacks aren't the only measure but wow. Pay the price and get at least one tackle spot fix. Draft a rookie for the right side that can move left down the road. Sound familiar ?

Just saw your post D. You might be correct and both may be resigned.

Yeah, I have the feeling that the high cap number is going to help a team like Cincinnati the most as they have a LOT of guys coming due next season and they can work on some of those guys early ... and keep Collins too.

Time to dig deep - everyone has cap - time to piss off some other teams GMs for Once

High cap is going to help teams resign players - How can this be?

Good. Albert is a strong player, but as I've heard, he has back problems. Get the guy who is young and healthy.

We need a good LT who will also be a leader in the locker room. If we get someone who is just a good player, we still have a leadership vacuum in O-line and I'm not buying the Mike Pouncey is really a high character guy who has been misunderstood, but his buddies are Aaron Hernandez, his brother and Richie Incognito.
Does anyone know anything about Monroe and Albert's leadership skills? Maybe smarter to find the future leadership in the rookie like Zack Martin

Albert is older, has been an injury risk, and is not a great run blocker. I'd be ecstatic if we can land Monroe. I was clamoring for him last off season, well before Baltimore traded for him.

I have a feeling that maybe he doesnt wanna play in Baltimore. He was traded there so its not like he picked his destination. Either that or Baltimore is trying to low ball him with the threat of the Franchise tag to bring the price down. I hope he becomes avails come free agency.
