Im told the Dolphins intend to sign a fullback before the draft or after via UDFA. I was also informed Miami could be bringing in Owen Schmitt or Leonard Weaver in for visits & that FB Jacob Hester turned down a visit from the Miami Dolphins before resigning with San Diego Chargers. .Dolphins have already worked out fullbacks Ahmad Hall & Jeff Link. With Charles Clay being moved to TE this season, the Dolphins are in the market for a fullback. Messam is expected to be tried out at Fullback, but Miami would like to sign a more traditional fullback who fits the mold of a John Kuhn. It is no secret that the Dolphins are high on Clay and expect him to make a full move to TE this season. Miami has also invested time into Will Yeatman and recently signed a project in Les Brown. With Clay making the move to TE it opens a hole at FB, a position the Fins would like to fill before the draft or after by signing a UDFA. One last note, Fins look set at TE, don't expect them to address the position during the draft.

Here is video of Jeff Link who the Dolphins worked out recently & looks like a clone of John Kuhn, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lmIg4F9qMk

Good he's got a better chance there............

I don't think Leonard Weaver is ever going to play again. His injury is just so bad. I'm really happy about Clay moving to TE, he's a good player.

I hope that Weaver can play again some day, but it won't be this season.

We had a good one in Polite but NOOOOOOOOO, heaven forbid they keep a player that produces.

Sounds like Fasano might be getting the axe.... would free up a few millions in cap relief
Think this is the result of a new coaching staff, different coaches value different strengths. See us looking for more athletic receiver type TEs rather than good blocking ones. Fasano is reasonably good at both, but probably not what Philbin is looking for long term.

i think when clay makes the move over he will be a beast.im going to get a clay jersey and rock that mofo for years
