Dolphins losing its fanbase?

Dolphins losing its fanbase?

Where's the fight? Where's the pride?

Where's the relationship players have with their fellow teammates that no matter what they fight like a demons?

Remember Shula? Remember when year in and year out prognosticators would predict the Dolphins up coming season - they would question everything and often see an 8 and 8 team. Then get socked in the face with another great Shula year 11-5 or 12 -4.

We are at the 20 year mark or more of this stinking terrible aimless trajectory with no light in sight.

And another year of Philbin guarantees us another 3 years of crap!

I can't take it anymore. No NFL sunday ticket for me next year - I'm out - when the Dolphins make it to the playoffs I will watch. And trust me I have been at this since 1972 - a true fan - that has sucked wind for 20 plus years. But I'm done -I cannot take it anymore.

I am so sick and tired of mediocrity.

To me Philbin failed. When we lost in Buffalo we failed - it was over for me. That's not an acceptable loss.

That was an unprepared team that was out coached. I am done with him and this whole coaching staff. Clean house start over.

The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.

I'll always be a fan. Why? I'm loyal. One year it'll pay off. I'm getting the NFL Ticket next year too. Why? Football is here once a year for four months. I like watching it. I'm always disappointed in how Miami finishes their seasons but come the summer time I'm ready for football again.

Once the dust settles and we know whats going to happen, then the draft and free agency, I bet I will be back on board again.
I have done this dance for over 40 years. Its hard to change.

I even live in Panther land. I was involved in the "Make it Come True in 1992" campaign for the Carolina panthers and I still love the Dolphins first.
I try to be a Carolina fan, but it just don't work.
I am a Dolphin fan.

Go Panthers......

Crack heads that is funny but oh so true.

I have been suffering since 1974 lol 39 years and counting!

All these years even when Miami was in the Superbowl after the perfect season I never felt they had the
team to win. There was always something missing. Always. Almost had me believing when they got
stomped by the Redskins in the Superbowl. Never thought they had enough through all the Dan over-hyped
Marino years. They were just lacking in defense etc. And here I am again, they are missing "it"
whatever it is. They ain't got it and it doesn't look like it is on the horizon anytime soon.

Nuke the Stadium Build a new one spend the money or you will never see a great team Mr Ross
your getting older and time is flying bye. You can't take all the money with you when you go! Get
something out of it that you like. Before its all said and done.

As for the staff. they are missing the "it" factor too.

The definition of insanity is doing the same **** over and over, yet expecting a different outcome.

You mean like how the fan base is always saying BLOW IT UP, START OVER! BLOW IT UP, START OVER! every year after year after year, and expecting to build a winner?

I'm curious as to what you think should be said when a coaching staff isn't producing?

If a player can't get the job done, you replace him with someone that can.

If the coaches or front office can't get the job done, you replace them with someone that can.

We wouldn't have to keep repeating ourselves if competent personnel were at the helm of this organization.

I think i have said it a million times if the dolphins are 16 and 0 or 0 and 16 i still love them. And i also say i see no end in sight to this debacle..

Where are the Super Bowls? how about the playoffs, how about beating your rivals? when these things start happening then you can get on the fan base for not caring....until then you get what you get from the fans.... its time to put a good product out on the field year to year

at this point I HATE this team, I Hate the owner, I hate the coach that called the full back run on 4th and inches, I hate the QB that wasnt smart enough to change the play to a qb keeper...I watch the team for no other reason than that is what I have done on sundays since I have been old enough to remember...I like it when they win but i still curse and scream and get pissed on those days too because they suck even when they win...

it would be nice to be able to enjoy a game like a patriots or broncos fan right now...havent enjoyed too many games since 2000 and even then they were starting to have problems...

I will still subject myself to the punishment. Go to most the Home games, and usually a couple of away games for the travel, and city. The last 2 weeks though have really burned me.
Buffalo and losing yesterday at home is all new LOW.

I wouldn't say it's lost, but it's definitely like Walt Disney, cryogenically frozen until a cure is found.

My husband and I decided if they don't fire Sherman and get a suitable replacement we will not be renewing our season tix. They don't deserve our hard earned money or our time for that matter. The play calling yesterday was completely unacceptable and absolutely pathetic.

This thread could've been started ten yrs ago.

This is my stance as well. I'm loyal and happily stuck to this team forever (unless they get sold). They put me through so much misery, but apparently I'm a masochist. I'll take it. **** way to end the season, but I know for a fact that I'll be stoked for football come Draft day.

True that man. I guess we're defined lunatics

We get one shot at living. It might as well be us watching the team whether it's live or on TV. Having a passion is a good thing!

More from you please :3w:

It's hard when the fan base has more passion if the team wins or loses than the players.Thats how I felt watching the last 2 weeks.

What is even worse is watching a coach without any friggin emotion. Bad play, bad call by the refs, tough loss - nothing.

This year has done me in. After over 2 decades of having my own season tickets I am dumping them. I spend every year in the excess of 10grand for 4 season tickets, tailgating, gas etc, not to mention the countless hours spent every home game. I leave the house at 8 for a 1pm game and I am not home usually until 6 or 7.
Those days are now gone.

It has come to a point that players and coaches have simply forgotten who actually pays their salaries. It is us who watches the games, buys the merchandise etc. And we have forgotten what honest football is. We are suckered in year-by-year and don't even realize how far the game of football has distanced itself from us.

I can live with the disappointment of the last two games but when I see a team and coaches not even caring or trying hard enough then it is time for me to say "I am not buying this crappy product anymore".

We are losing the bandwagoneers, if Miami goes to the playoffs next year, all will jump on as if nothing had ever went wrong, and they knew there was potential with this team all along.
