31 team's, including us, are not winning the championship this year. But as long as they have a plan for building in the trenches and develop player's through the draft, and McD grows up, future seems bright. Go

Actually was 2 INTs.@circumstances , so itās your fault? Please avoid having player āfreak off sessionsā the night before game day. Youāre making them tired!![]()
Iām trying to understand the Dolphins FO and why they would resign a player thatās shown the level of ineptitude Eich has, and experience and versatility are the only 2 things I could remotely think would justify it for them. When people defend Eichenberg using the points of "experience" and "versatility," I kind of have to laugh.
It doesn't count as experience when every year people watched you, they were crying out for you to be benched or replaced.
It doesn't count as versatility when you did all those different jobs poorly.
I'm sorry, but bad experience is not experience. If you had a job where you were terrible, earned the ire of your colleagues and ultimately got fired for incompetence...you don't highlight that job on your resume. You hide it as best as you can in hope no one will ever bring it up.
Highlighting the "experience" of someone who was perennially the worst player on the team is absurd.
Eichenberg's only hope was to begin again somewhere else. Omar was 100% right. The sooner he gets into a "prove-it" situation with another team with his job & career on the line, the better...maybe it will work out for him? I don't really care. He's had his chance in Miami and we knew he needed to be replaced at least 2 years ago. So, no, these last 2 years don't count as "experience."
I have 0 hope that things with Eichenberg will change in Miami and with Daniels very likely to be recovering, Eichenberg may be forced into action as early as week-1.
This could easily be the #1 story coming out of the first month of the season. 'Predictable OL struggles undermine what could have been...'
You don't know that. This may be the all-time worst Dolphins secondary in their history. Not one of these "players" would start for any other team in the NFL.
I've only playing Devil's advocate so don't take this personal, but they did resign him so logically you are wrong. Now why would they resign him You may ask. The offensive line coach mentioned that he was a leader in the locker room. OK I can buy that. They also cited his experience which you have to admit is broader than the average offense lineman since he's been used in all five positions, so check. And they also mentioned that it takes most average players a few years to get up to speed. I don't really know about this excuse but I'm not there so I guess I could buy it. Take those three things and add them together and they make a good argument for resigning him, or so the Dolphins front office feels this is so.
Because of this I'm willing to live with this, hopefully if Eichenberg Starts it's either because of an injury or he wins a position. If it's the latter of course I could live with him starting. Do I want to see him starting? The answer is an unequivocal NO but that's because I'm only going by what I've seen the past three or 4 years.
So I'll finish this rant with, I'm not an offensive line coach, and neither am I present and see what goes on in practice, so I'm willing to look the other way on this as long as he's not given a starting position. Once the 2025 season starts I will adjust accordingly. If he ends up winning a starting position great for him, but it better be because he's one of the top 5 offensive lineman on the team as far as I'm concerned. It's kind of silly to be acting like he's a starter at this point. Let's wait until we are a week or two in the camp before we start to judge. FIns up my friend!
Have my doubts about Smith. It's "telling" that rook Storm Duck beat him out. I actually like the Duck, but if Smith can't get playing time over a low rd. rookie, there's an issue. If those two live up to there talent this season and some of the UDFAs CBs from the last two years step up, we could have a phenomenal season. I believe until proven otherwise.

I said it "may be" the worst. But yes, I can comfortably say at this point in time none of these Fins DB's would be starting for any other NFL team. As of now, IMHO, they are the worst group ever assembled. Now that will obviously change as hopefully we'll find out that some of these nobodys can actually play. You don't know that.
You are basing that statement solely on name recognition and draft status. While those are fine indicators, they aren't always the bottom line. If a player has the physical tools, the mental ability and the drive to succeed, it is more than possible for them to be starter level players.
You could be right, but stating it as absolute, unquestionable fact is hyperbole, IMO.
Look I was a fan of Cam Smith and Patrick Paul as second round picks. The kids have talent and the stafff believes in them.
Everythingās gone against the last few years, if we can stay healthy, weāre a tough out for a lot of good teams.
Tuaās just gotta stay on the field for 17 games.

IMO, Eichenberg isn't good enough to be on the roster. However, with the talk of his experience, versatility, and "possible" leadership skills, there is ONE situation where I could justify keeping him. That would be AFTER Miami already has five proven, competent, non-injury-prone linemen who are (hopefully) above average at their position, AND a few decent back-ups for depth.Eichenberg isn't just some 9th O linemen. He is in position where he is very likely to see significant playing time. This should have NEVER happened

IOW, I could see Liam being an emergency third-string lineman, used only when absolutely necessary, and only for a few plays here and there at most. And, if he is a "leader" and has knowledge but lacks the physical ability, then maybe he could help rookies. The problem is that unfortunately, Grier is inept when it comes to building a strong o-line, and he likes signing injury-prone players, so as long as he's the GM, Miami will never have an above average, competent o-line with decent depth. In case anyone forgot, Grier is why Eichenberg was playing Center after Williams got hurt because there was no back-up Center on the roster. So, with Grier the GM, chances are high that if Eichenberg is on the roster, he will eventually be starting.
What I can't understand is how everyone can see this, yet Ross still won't replace Grier for being unable to do the job he is being paid to do.Miami with their O line and secondary really have stuffed their team with injury prone players. Not 1 or 2, but the majority.
When you do that, you MUST prepare your depth diferrently. If Miami had an O line that is full of non injury prone player, then yes that's a different story. Because that's a situation of "if" an injury occurs. Right now it's not "if" it's "when" and "how many.
While people are defending the acquisition or justifying Eichenberg and/or Borom. They need to truly understand that, as of now, Both have a very good shot at significant playing time this season. Most likely starting together.
When that happens we can't cry or complain. Because we KNEW this was a more likely scenario then not
