Dolphins' Marshall talks to Flynn about teaming up in Miami

EXACTAMUNDO!!!

and Philbin will let us know if Matt Flynn= fool's gold, by how hard he goes after him (or not).

the philbin thing could go either way if he passes on him...either he'll be right and lauded on here for taking a pass in the short and long term or he'll be skewered over time for letting a legit qb get away...one that he had so much contact and access to

we better hope he's right whatever way he goes...i still say you take the chance when you have so little invested financially in the position in 2012 and going forward...it less risky imo than many are letting on...but we'll see

but bottom line is flynns not coming here to compete with anyone...that makes zero sense if you invest in him financially like i think its gonna cost for his services

if everyone wants an upgrade, fine, but flynn is not a ****ing upgrade geez. people want the guy because 1 ****ing game.

in 3 games where he has played the majority of the game, he lost to the lions and pats in 2010, and beat the lions in 2011.

to small a sample size, but if we are bringing someone in, fine, but other than a qb by the last name of manning, any qb who comes in here should have to earn the job in camp in fair competition.

moore at minimum deserves a chance to compete unless manning is the qb we sign, flynn has not done enough to just be handed the keys as franchise qb.

Moore deserves? How does that work in todays NFL?

This isn't some social experiment. Philbin deserves to start whomever he wants. Seeing as its his legacy at stake.:lol2:

That one game he did great but what people like you need to realize is he will fit right in because phil in is the coach and do you not realize how well the packers groom their QBs

BM doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut......how'd he like it if the Moore was telling the media how much he'd love to have a WR that doesn't drop passes in the end zone?

Ozzy rules!!

Marshall is in the Pro Bowl while Moore never will be. Period.

if philbin wants to last long as coach, hopefully he will upgrade and not with matt flynn, because thats not the answer.

what has matt flynn done that he deserves to be praised like this? he had one good game, ONE!!!!.

im not saying he shouldnt get a chance to start somewhere, but he shouldnt be like brady, rodgers, big ben, etc, where he just is the starter without competition, because he has yet to prove enough.

I see the Matt Moore franchise fan boys are out in force...

Can't throw the long ball, fumbles alot, sucks under pressure...But all that doesn't matter...

Agreed, I am by no means sold on Flynn, but Philbin should know if Flynn is worth the hefty price tag or not.

And as of this posting Manning is? Seriously? A guy who didn't see the field this year? GTFO.

As for Griffin, I'm down with drafting him. But if he isn't there, this new HC needs to hang his hat on someone he trusts. And by the looks of it, it isn't Moore.:D

Or maybe it IS! We'll see once F/A arrives. FLYNN has next to no credentials, but he has spent some time learning, and learning in GB at that. If Coach PHILBIN tells ROSS to open his wallet, and tells IRELAND to draft a cap-friendly Contract, THAT would be about the best "credentials" that FLYNN would have. If not, then not.

I'm not praising Flynn. Neither would I expect a new coach and staff hitch their fortunes to a QB like Moore, something you seem to be advocating.

And why isn't Flynn the answer? Is there something you know that Philbin doesn't?:err:

FA will be here soon enough. So far the GM of this team, has said, QB will be addressed. That isn't a ringing endorsement if your name is Matt ****ing Moore.

I really don't view Flynn as an upgrade to Moore and I would lose all hope for this team if thats the route we went.

Manning Griffin or Bust.
Seems like a lot of pro scouts disagree with you and think Flynn is the real deal. You are entitled to your opinion. I will stick with them

Do you make up your "facts" as you go along? It looks that way.

MOORE fumbles when he gets clobbered, (usually) by COLUMBO's man while COLUMBO's still in his 3 Point stance: he might as well be yanking his "chain". And MOORE's "deep ball" is so bad that he has hit MARSHALL and HARTLINE deep a few times. Imagine that! Making teams respect HARTLINE and MARSHALL deep: not CLYDE, mind you. And MOORE's poise under pressure is one of the things I really like about him. As the pocket collapses, he runs, but keeps his eyes downfield. He'll "scramble" as a last resort (and he's pretty good at it), but he prefers to keep the play alive and pass...and he throws well on the run. How about "touch"? Should a QB have it? We know that HENNE didn't have it. How do you like MOORE's "circle" route passes to R BUSH, for example? And did you know that MIAMI had one of the highest numbers, of pass completions over 25 Yards? Imagine that? Li'l ole us!

Too many on this Board seem to blindly "parrot" the so-called "experts". Here's a suggestion: believe what you see, place blame for failings where it belongs, and think for yourself. Oh, and cut MARSHALL some slack: we all know he's a shmuck.

I like the idea of getting Flynn and having him compete. I just don't like the idea that we are going to be shelling out big $$$ for a guy with 3 or 4 NFL starts. However, with that said, I'd probably rather that than a $20M/yr Peyton 'Busted Neck' Manning.

Manning(It's Peyton for god's sake) or RG3(Our future duel threat stud) are my top choices.
Worst case- Matt Flynn which is actually a plus considering that's worst case scenario.
Let's just all thank the front office and Coach Philbin for coming in and demanding the importance of our QB situation.
It's about time we get to see a QB who isn't back-up caliber( basically every QB in the league would be Rodgers back-up.
I haven't been this excited in yrs!!!
Go Fins!!

The best thing about all of this is there really isn't anyone out there in the NFL with more knowledge of whether Matt Flynn is prepared and ready to be an NFL starter than Joe Philbin. Also, he may not be ready to be an NFL QB in a Cam Cameron style offense, or a Rob Chudzinski Offense, or even a Sean Peyton Offense, but if he's ready to be a starter, it's in the offense he's been part of his entire career, and that offense just happens to be, Joe Philbin's. RG III would be nice and probably be successful, but he's going to cost draft picks plus the $$, Manning has run one offense his entire career, and that's HIS offense, so, would be be willing to come in and learn this new offense, if he's even healthy enough which is going to be another big question. Taking any QB is a risk, but, imo, Flynn is the MOST ready to come in and run THIS offense and it's my believe he'll be very successful doing so. Just My opinion.
