Dolphins may hire replay specialist.

Its a great idea.Challenges usually involve a lot of decisions based on emotion.Assistant coaches will jump up and down insisting that such and such play was unfair. The problem is that they are looking through rose colored glasses.

I this is a great idea, to not only have a set of eyes on this, but where, and who are causing the penalties, and how do we correct them. This person could work with the coaches, and players to what they are getting called for, and this may help in the practices, and preseason games as well, to help us cut down on drive killing penalties. Plus this will be an ex-official who can help work on, what they are exactly looking for, and maybe learn some tricks of the trade.

What a nice job that must be. You get paid to sit in an air-conditioned booth and watch football games. You have pay close attention only to replays, and when you make the right call you're the hero and when you make the wrong call the ref sucks. Sigh...

With all these people that are getting hired at top dollar kind of worries me. the last time Wayne spent this kind of money was when the Marlins won the world series. and we all know what happened to them the following year.

Don't remind me. :fire: That guy screwed the Marlins franchise for what could have been decades, yet we still came back and won a championship 5 years later. If only we can get our stadium to get away from Wayne-o's stealing of our money at the Pro.

"Hill sat in the coaches' booth watching television feeds." - Yeah, feeds of the other games going on. This guy was awful. Didn't they fail on most of their challenges?

this is very interesting..

you've gotta love Nick's attention to detail.

True but at the same time most coaches handle a lot of these things themselves. so with him hireing people to do everything. one may ask what exactly will he be doing?

I think the responsibilities are larger than that, I saw the article yesterday in the Stupid (Stuart) News. That usually means it is three days old. Anyway, he will be at practices monitoring the officials during practice and he will be trying to identify penalty problems, which I think meant those of recurring nature. I will look for a link.

Maybe he can get Lee straightened out.

Would it be a former official just for replay challenges or will he also be involved in reducing working with the coaches to help reduce penalties ?
