Dolphins Need To Open Their Trade Talk Phone Lines (good Stuff)

“Off the field stuff” lmao

The media has made it off the field stuff, not Kenny.

Dude has been healthy, shows up to work everyday, stays after to sign autographs and yet it gets worded like he is some vigilante.

All that aside, by default, he is one of the more “tradeable” pieces with a very friendly contract and production better than any of the other offensive pieces.

Similar with Alonso.

I think Fitzpatrick fits this as well and a playoff contender that drops their QB could look into his services to attempt to salvage their season.

Dwayne Allen/Clive Walford for a token late round pick has some possibilities

Not much else I see out there. Jones would be a pipe dream but not realistic.

I guess you missed this part on stills.......

Stills production, despite his popularity, hasn’t been all that great. To be fair, he has Ryan Tannehill and Jay Cutler throwing to him but he has had mental lapses and even Brian Flores recently told him that he wasn’t happy with what he has seen from him in camp this year.

Miami currently has the ammunition to trade up, if need be, to get a quarterback in the 2020 draft. But, yes it makes sense to deal players who may not fit the current system or from a position of strength (WR?). The key is getting value in return. Because of his contract, a player like Jones might only bring a low pick. Do you trade Jones if all you can get is a 6th rounder? I know someone will say that Tom Brady was a 6th rounder, but generally you don't hit often at that spot.

I'm not against stockpiling draft picks. Maybe you start adding to the 2021 total. I just don't want to see a situation where you get nothing in return. A lot of low draft picks never pan out.

The mental lapse was 3 years ago in Seattle. The same year that earned him a well deserved extension.

And Flores is clearly a guy who says things to motivate his players. Whether its Wilkins pad level, Rosen’s mannerisms or in this case Kenny not playing up to his capability and for him to focus on that.

And yea the QB play and crap OLine hasn’t helped with reaching those 2016 highs but he still has 21 touchdowns the last 3 years and has played in 63 of a potential 64 games as a Miami Dolphin.

What are you talking about?

FLORES, the head coach was calling him out about his poor camp, here in miami, 2019. Not something in seattle. And i noticed it to. He was dropping a lot of balls this camp. He hadnt been a pre season game standout this tear either.

Guy is replaceable, for several reasons.

He didnt say Kenny was having a poor camp, he said Kenny hasnt played up to the level he is capable of . . . And used the Jay-Z music as a challenge to Kenny to block out the distractions and focus on performance on the field.

You have a link to him dropping a lot of passes in camp this year? I just keep finding how he is the top WR in camp and that he caught a 50 yard bomb from Rosen.

And lol at using preseason performance as a barometer. Stop it

I'm a fan of Stills community activism - that's the Miami community. I think he's a good player although his POVs and mine certainly don't overlap. Selfishly speaking I would not trade him: he's a burner who opens up the field and can actually catch the ball. He'll be a great asset for Rosen in general!

The media just reports what Stills says. Does it get blown out of proportion? Yes, absolutely.

However, if Stills isn't out there putting it all in the universe to begin with it doesn't get reported. He's a good football player, not a great one. Instead of focusing on spreading your message, focus on your game. That's what has given you this platform for your message.

And get Miami out of a contract, even if it's partial.

I think that is what coach Flo was saying. He is all about Kenny Stills using that platform to bring awareness . . . .but it can’t be a distraction to where you aren’t playing at the level he knows Kenny can reach. So time to block out the critics and potential distractions and put more focus on putting the best version of yourself on the football field.

Its a fair ask and Kenny is a hard worker, he’ll be up to the challenge coach put out there.

The writer is a fan. How does he know what Flores told Kenny besides what is being reported and made available by Flores himself. Flores did not say anything like that in his last post game PC. All Flores said that he told Kenny to focus on the onfield stuff because that's where he needs to perform and not let the outside stuff affect his performance.

Stills would probably bring the most in return if we trade him which is not saying much cause the others mention would not bring much if anything at all. I believe that Stills can help the team with his speed at this moment but lets face it, we're not going anywhere with or without him anytime soon. If you can get a mid round pick for him then yes, I'd trade him. Play the younger guys and let them develop as they're the ones that would be here anyway by the time we can be contenders if we ever get to that.

P.S. This is not personal........this is something that can help the team moving forward.

P.S. #2 at this point I hope they trade him so that we can stop talking about it and freaking move forward or tells us that they won't trade him.......either way I'm sick of it already so I'm done.

If Kenny is traded it will be because we got a helluva deal for a helluva football player.

I love the player and would hate to see him go, but I can also understand the plan to build for the future.

Anything else is conjecture, particularly these so called "off field issues."

Kenny is a class act, plain and simple, and any team he plays for should count themselves lucky to have him.
