Shula employed this guy as defensive coordinator from '87 to '95, damn right I blame him for Marino not winning a SB

I think the combo of Washington & Nick Westbrook-Ikhine will open up a lot of things for the offense. Provided we have some real semblance of a running game of course.Malik Washington may hold the key to opening up the entire passing game. If he can make big plays with consistency, defenses might move off Hill and Waddle to start covering him. I don't think there are many slot CB's that can cover Washington, single handedly? He's too fast, but more importantly, he's too shifty as well. Defenses are about to find out the full scale McDaniel offense does exist. Just my opinion.
**** run game **** defense Marinos whole tenure
Had some good small receivers, one tight end for a few years worth a damn in Jackson
Rest of that team was filled with jags everywhere
I may be wrong but I think he was the gm too. At least heavily involved or in charge.
But either way how long would it take you to realize I need to give this qb who absolutely deserves a championship a run game and defense around him?
I think Shula was pretty clueless with it. Which I find inexcusable
Oooof. What's even crazier is what we do know is it's a different hip injury than the one in college. So he's sustained TWO major hip injuries that he hopes to keep healthy.
Ticking....time.....bomb.....
Throwing footballs I imagineWhat is Ewers doing in camp?
O'brien was a D2 QB. Im not surprised he didnt know anything about him back then.Indicators of how Shula was truly clueless at personnel evaluation was Eric Kumerow where is relied on the BLESTO ratings (never saw him play).
Then Ken Obrien was drafted ahead of Marino it was reported that he actually asked who is that guy? Whether Obrien was good QB or not, not knowing his name shocked me.
I imagine there was a lot more as well.
