Per @RapSheet the #Cardinals & #Dolphins view LT Branden Albert as a " high priorit " in free agency, according to multiple team sources

I wonder how much more we will pay for him than what we could have paid last yr......

I hope we are not bidding against ourselfs like we did with Wallace

I live out here in Phoenix. All the radio guys & beat writers want Albert and think the Cards will pay to get him.

I honestly think there are better options for us. Yes, he's a high quality tackle, but age & injury concerns attached to a big contract have me wanting to look elsewhere.

There are other guys I like better than Albert, but you can't ignore him whatsoever. Frankly I think he's not a sure thing "stud" to back up a truck of money, and there are so many spots that need help I'd rather get 3 "very goods" over one "great".

Pay the man and get some young blood in there. a second or third round lineman this year is like a mid first last year.

We have to make a statement on the O-line......and I think Albert does that. However, we need to publicly discuss our other options as well. If we don't and we don't win a bidding war on Albert, then you know what the media is going to say about us never getting our man!

Fact is, we should pay market for this guy and no more.

last year the price was a second round pick (i believe) and a boatload of cash. even if the price is higher this year (i don't know if it will be), you can't really buy second round picks for cash.

I'd love to get Lewan in round 1 and plug in some less expensive veterans like Beadles at LG and maybe a veteran RT, then put in a rookie at RG and ease them in. That would allow us to lock down Grimes, Soliai, and Clemons or another combo S. This is a deep OL draft ... let's load up on some good young hogs to protect Tannehill for the next decade.

how bout we draft a lt instead of paying a ridiculous amount for a 30 yr old, sometimes injured player?? when will we ever draft guys that turn into cornerstones of the franchise? seems like our last really good drafts were 96 and 97!

Albert gives us some gravitas. He gives us the ability to be flexible in the draft because LT is the most important OL.

I still would consider Jordan Gross as a cheapy backup plan at LT. I wouldnt bet my money on a rookie LT in year 3 of RT.
