His stats are...well....mediocre.
He has an incredible supporting staff, yet he is still "Above Average".
He is nothing more than an "Above Average" QB. PERIOD

And if your QB isn't even starting-caliber, you shouldn't have passed on the above-average one, because with the one who isn't starting-caliber, you're never going to be a winning team.

So do you want to be a winning team, or not?

I guess if you're willing to pass on QBs that can make you win in favor of ones who can't, you don't mind not winning.

I just have to comment on the irony of criticizing a QB for playing poorly in the playoffs when this team would just love if if they had a QB who could get them there in the first place.

If you're going to compare everything to the current Dolphins, it all looks good

I guess most people dont know Peyton manning's history very well. He was once 0-3 in the playoffs and in his third playoff game lost 41-0 to the jets. In that game he was 14 of 31 0 tds and 2 int.
Peyton was drafted in 1998 and did not win a playoff game until the 2003 season. I wonder how many would have said the same thing about Peyton manning going into the 2003 season

Peyton Manning put on the best two game run in playoff history in 2003. The Colt's punter did not even have to enter the game until the second half of the Colt's second playoff game.

You'd rather stick with a guy who can't get you that many wins initially, and then hope you do better at some point in the draft, with no guarantee of it.

There is no guarantee that we're going to draft a QB in the future that's going to make us any better than the current Dolphins.

Now, what I do know is that in 2008 we could've gotten one, and we didn't, which is a mistake.

Way too limited a sample to make that assumption. Two games like I said if u judged manning after his initial 0-3 playoff run and only throwing 1 td pass along with not so great completion percentage would u have the same assertation

It was a fair question about Manning at that point, also. Especially with his when he couldn't Tennesee over the hump against Florida.
Will Ryan put it together? Maybe, maybe not. but with the way he has played so far, don't act like he shouldn't be questioned

So Henne's poor play lost us those 3 games. Ryan woulda won them, and then what? Playoffs? Sure. Championship? I don't think so. Matt Ryan's never going to win a championship IMO. I could very well be wrong, but I don't see it.

Marino never won a championship I guess because he was not a franchise qb by these definitions. To criticize a fourth year qb because he hasnt won a playoff game is pretty silly.
Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers did not win a playoff game by their third year either

problem is statistically and win wise he is a damn good qb, I just dont get some on this board
