Dolphins Projected Camp Battles?

The real QB battle is between Devlin and Moore. Tannehill has been handed the job the day he was drafted. Once Moore is out of the way, anything can happen...(remember Nick Foles)...
Welcome back alphabet guy. Your faith in Pat Devlin is remarkable. I'm still skeptical but I look forward to seeing him more in the preseason games. Please convey my regards to your other Pat Devlin fan club members.

With so many questions, I see many battles a coming, should make for a grat camp. My choices.

Moreno vs Miller- I think this is gonna be much closer than expected, and I see Miller winning.

James vs himself and late cuts- He will be given every oppertunity to start but, still has to show why on the field.

OG vs OG vs OG vs OG- Wide open competition here with /Smith, Turner, Dallas, Brenner, and late cuts.

Landry vs Matthews vs Gibson- Don't see Landry beating out either this year.

OV vs Jordan- This one should be special. OV played well but Jordan is "The Chosen One."

Finnegen vs Taylor- I believe that the Taylor many liked will show up and win this battle.

Sims vs Egnew- I expect a big improvement from Sims, and Egnew is at Do or Die.

That's all I got, and it is a lot.

Good thread SB, glad you posted it.

I think the new guys win most of these battles.

Moreno will get the most snaps and rend to play on 3rd down, but we will definitely mix In Miller for peed and change of pace. We don't want Moreno to take too many hits so this adds to his durability. Also, I think the staff may like Miller more than they are letting anyone know.

James has no competition, so his a near guaranteed starter. Turner clearly has the inside track at one OG and following the money it looks like we will roll the dice with Smith at the other.

I think the slot WR job is Gibson's to lose. He proved very productive last year and Tannehill already developed chemistry with him. That being said, I'm confident that Landry will see significant snaps even if it is only to set picks on crossing routes ... but I'm sure it will be more than just that. Matthews probably fall behind Landry in Lazor's offense.

All 3 pass rushers will get a lot of snaps but Jordan isn't ready to be a run defender yet.

Finnegan was given too much money to not be the preferred starter. I don't see him being healthy and not starting at least in the nickel.

Thomas vs Gillislee vs Damian Williams - Though I think Thomas gets a harder time than he deserves, I could see Williams winning this battle and then it comes down to numbers as to whether they keep a fourth guy. Williams is exactly the tough running, low-pad-level RB we need on this team. If he has his head on straight, it's virtually a no-brainer imo.

Thigpen vs other PR/KR candidates is another - I believe Thiggy is gone, whatever they're hinting about moving him to receiver.
