I think if the line would have been able to hold up, which they were doing towards the end of the season we definitely would have made it. All you can do now is hope that whoever they bring in has got to be better than dog **** that was on display the last two games of last season.

Must be a tad bit odd for both oline coaches preparing for next season with only one of our current starters seemingly likely to return. The great unknown awaits.

With both OL coaches and hickey being new, I am sure that there will be great collaberation and everyone will be pulling in the same direction.

I find it worth noting that Philbin handled the coaching additions and landed excellent coaches in Lazor and Benton.

Ross handled the GM hiring and was turned down by many GM's before the interviews started, several after the interviews started, and one chose the Bucs--the only other team looking for a GM--over us. We hired the lowest ranked candidate who happened to be the only finalist to not decline us. He was also one of the guys fired from the other place looking to replace a GM. I have my fingers crossed for this draft ... but I'm not instilled with a ton of confidence.

But once we get the hogs here, I am very confident in Benton to coach them up. Great hire.
