Dolphins, Ravens to play at 1:00PM and Chargers to play at 4:25PM

I just think it's funny some think this is bad when its actually a good thing for us.

Why, exactly does Chargers winning affect Baltimore if Baltimore wins?

If Baltimore wins, don't they knock us out due to the head-head victory vs us?

2nd-worst case, we and Baltmore win, I think SD is just better than KC right now. It will be a fun game to watch, and probably more fun than Miami catching a beat-down the following week.

Buffalo was eliminated many weeks ago, and it didn't stop them from stomping our sorry a$$es today.

If Baltimore wins we need San DIego to win - it would put us in a 3-way tie (assuming we also win). In a 3-way tie head-to-head matchups only matter if one team has beaten the other two. In this case, it doesn't because Baltimore did not play San Diego. The first tie breaker would be conference record, which favors Miami. If Miami and Baltimore win, but San Diego loses, we would lose out because the head-to-head becomes the first tie breaker.

I don't know why we should assume a chiefs win just because the chargers might not have anything to play for. The chiefs themselves don't have anything to play regardless of any outcome of any game. In my personal experience it seems like a team eliminated from the playoffs usually wins a game against a playoff team already seeded. I think it's probably because the playoff team is probably more concerned about short term health and the eliminated team probably has more players playing for their jobs.

On SNF they just announced that the Dolphins/Jets and Ravens/Bengals game are staying at 1:00PM ET. That is bad, because now the Dolphins and Ravens results could make the Chargers game meaningless for them.

NFL is totally screwing us here.

No way in hell should we play at 1pm knowing that if we win and the Ravens win as well, both of our playoff destinies will be in the hands of the Chargers. Basically, whichever teams owner calls the Chargers and offers them the most in a deal will get the result they need.

Total BS.

No way should both of these teams season come down to whether or not the Chargers win if the Chargers have nothing invested.

wait, so if we win and balt wins, we would need san diego to win, but would san diego be eliminated already?

san diego is going to play hard anyways, but i think kc will also even though they got nothing to play for.

i dont think andy reid wants his team going into playoffs losing 2 games in a row, and the last 3 superbowl winners have won going in with momentum and no rest.

If we win, the Chargers are eliminated and they know it. In fact, the Chargers are eliminated if either Miami or Baltimore wins.

Total BS.

No reason that NE game and Cinci/Baltimore games couldnt still be at 1pm, with Mia/NYJ and SD/KC at 4pm. Both of those 1pm games would still have meaning, and the other teams could sit back and watch the 4pm results.

NFL and CBS just set up a scenario where 4pm is totally meaningless on their network to the teams participating in the games, but huge for the teams watching. Unreal.

I think they did this because they have 2 BS games over in the NFC which are win and you win a terrible division, lose and you are out(Dallas/Philly and Chicago/GB). They could only put one of them on SNF, the other will be played at 4pm on FOX and they wanted a mass audience over there.

By flexing New England to 4:25, it makes it more likely that the Bengals go full strength at Baltimore at home with a chance to get the bye still.

Miami blew their chance to control their own fate . . . now they need to win and hope for Bmore to lose to a team that is undefeated at home AND have something to play for. The San Diego game is like a back pocket game, incase the Ravens win.

Nobody screwed us here. We screwed ourselves. We didn't take care of business when we should have. Having to rely on other teams losing and scheduling is the price we pay for not wining. None of this would matter if we had not **** the bed today.

Miami should've won out then so it made no difference. Right?

the reason they moved the pats game to 4pm, is because if somehow they got upset at 1 pm, however unlikely it was, then denver can rest there starters.

now denver has to play there starters the whole game. also, if the pats game stayed at 1, say the pats pulled ahead early, the bengals most likely pull there starters early knowing they will play next week and cant gain anything.

cincy will be playing for the 2 seed at 1 the entire game, so i feel it works out good for us in the end.

Well on the bright side we could clinch by 4:00 if Baltimore loses

Don't Forget that CIN still need the win anyway to finish ahead of IND for the 3rd seed. IND has an easy game against JAX...
