Dolphins rejects Lazor and Coyle are on to Cincinnati

Bengals hire former Dolphins Coordinators Lazor and Coyle

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Bengals have hired former Dolphins OC Bill Lazor as quarterbacks coach and former Dolphins DC Kevin Coyle as defensive backs coach.
The Dolphins fired Coyle back in October shortly after they parted ways with HC Joe Philbin. However, Lazor managed to last a little longer before he was fired in December.
The Bengals have lost a few notable coaches in the past week after OC Hue Jackson departed for the Browns’ head-coaching job and the Dolphins hired DBs coach Vance Joseph as their new defensive coordinator.

Cincinnati tends to bring in experienced coaches to round out their staff, so it will be interesting to see if either of them are up from new jobs in the coming years.

We play in Cincinnati next year so both with get a chance at revenge. Not if I go to the game. Miami is 5-0 in Ohio when I attend the game.

Is it any wonder that despite all the usual football firepower, Marvin can't ever win a playoff game.

Dalton will regress with Lazor as his QB coach .

Mark it down

More likely to 'regress' because he just had a season that was basically a statistical outlier for him and he also lost a damn good offensive coordinator. The quarterbacks coach is more there to help him maintain his fundamentals, break down film, and better execute the coordinator's offense. Lazor is more than qualified to do that; one of the best things he did here was help Ryan Tannehill improve his footwork and throwing mechanics. If he's learned from his last two stops that having a good relationship with the quarterback is very important in that kind of position, it will be a good hire for the Bengals.

Ken Zampese is a huge unknown at OC for the Bengals, and I suspect they might have the Ravens problem now where they start losing players in free agency and the staff turnover catches up to them.

Caleb Sturgis ended the revenge game jinx.

That stupid midget actually wound up being a good draft pick, if he ends that hex once and for all.
