Dolphins release Kendall Fuller and Durham Smythe

Why try to emulate the methods of those who actually had success in the league? They're just trying to fool the Dolphins into thinking that's the right way to do things. The Dolphins will prove it is better to mismanage draft picks and be forced to rely on free agency.

That is the "Grier Way". Kind of like "Carlito's Way", but Grier is not near as sympathetic a figure as Al Pacino.

He looks healthy to me, but you never know.
Another poster said maybe they are letting him sign elsewhere because he expressed his desire to be on a Contender. If that were to be the case, there are draft implications with that move. In Grier's office, a fly I know overheard "Kendall, we want you back this year. Only difference is we are going to cut your snap count down because we are going to draft a CB in the 1st, or 2nd rd."

I assume it means using one of the high picks needed for the lines on a position that isn't deep in the draft. Or maybe Storm Duck has taken some unknown quantum leap in ability and experience. Either way, I'm sure it's gonna be super.
If this is the mini tank that it probably should be, doesn't matter much if it's Duck, Smith, Bonner or really anyone else. Prioritize experience for young promising players. Also, a more competent front 4 would make life easier for whoever is out in the secondary.

Dump all those contracts if that's the case ... which it isn't. I doubt the staff would sign up for a tank that only results in them all being fired afterwards. Doesn't look great on a resumé.

I'm cool with it, though. Manning in Miami changes everything.
