Fuller looked genuinely scared of contact after the concussions, I was wondering if he would consider retirement this off-season. He played like someone who didn’t want to tackle.

I said months ago that I would bet money on a CB being the first pick. Grier only likes drafting the expensive positions in round 1 and the obvious hole from them was CB as we had nothing after Ramsey and his last 2 high CB picks have bust.

Fuller is a dumb release unless there is a better plan. That wasn't too bad a contract with no major cap relief.

So we are adding an extra need to the shopping list now :

1 DL or two
1 DT or two
2 TE
1 Backup QB
1 big WR
1 bruising RB
1 starting CB
1 MLB

My only guess is his knee injury at end of season is worse than expected and they are expecting a Chubb situation. Other than that I’m truly baffled, minimal savings and entire secondary needs to be replaced now pretty much.
