Dolphins request permission to speak with Gamble

Saw a tweet saying Gamble is wanting to interview and his situation with his dad will not keep him from being our GM if he gets the job

Could you find it and post here, por favor?

My thought is why couldn't his dad move to Miami?

Don't older ppl move from the north to Miami daily?

Seriously?

"Hey, Tom... I realize your dad has lived most of his life in Philadelphia but do you think he'd really mind dying in Miami instead so you can work for us? People die here all the time, ya know."

Jeff Darlington is cracking me up with his tweets! He is a badass, lol.

Jeff Darlington ‏@JeffDarlington 10m Let me get this right: Dolphins' job is bad because of politics/power, but in Tampa, where Lovie is unquestionably the man, it's all peachy?

Jeff Darlington ‏@JeffDarlington 22m Strange how, as Bucs & Dolphins chase same GM candidates, Dolphins' job is being spun as less attractive when Lovie Smith has all the power.

Here is the link with Mando saying that Gamble would welcome the opportunity to interview:

The Dolphins have asked permission to interview the Eagles vice president of player personnel, according to multiple sources. The Eagles have confirmed is and are granting permission.

And I'm told Gamble would very much like the opportunity to interview.

Yes seriously. I would think his dad may want to do that as well. And if his dad is on his death bed, last days, then obviously the Dolphins would move heaven and earth to allow him to spend as much time with his father.

I'm not sure what is so confusing to you.

Sounds like Darlington is getting tired of the media bashing on the Fins too...and he's in the media. Fight the powers Jeff...fight them man.

If his father is in Hospice there's probably a very good chance a move to Miami from Philadelphia would kill him. I don't think Tom Gamble would want to kill his father before his time, what little may be left, just for the sake of become the GM. You're obviously a very selfish person to even think that way.

I think there are plenty of positives for the Miami job but the difference w/ the coaches is Lovie has had a lot of success where Philbin hasn't had any YET. In that regard Tampa is more attractive

You're told? By who?

But the GM would have less power in Tampa Bay since they decided to hire Lovie Smith before a GM.

Mando is making that statement not the one posting his comments.

Oh, okay. Gonna wait until I see it from someone who isn't completely full of ****.

Are you asking me or was that rhetorical? I have no idea, I just posted what Mando said.

No, I misread you. Thought you were saying that. Sorry.

lol excuse me?

So if this guy accepts the job with your logic is he is a real SOB then!

If the mans dad is on his death bed any current and future employer would give him the time with his family. If his father is not on his death bed his father may in fact like the change. Some of you are way out of line.

I have no idea what state of health his father is in but being on hospice care doesn't always mean the conditions are dire.

All of you guys going back and forth about this should just stop. None of you are doing anything but commenting on what IYO would be a good way to deal with a horrible situation. All of you care and want the best for them so just let the Gambles do what they think is best.
