Dolphins Rush for 200 yards 5.7 ypc, takes a tiny bit of sting off the iffy QB play.

Was it his fault Sims fumbled that ball?

If not Sims, probability has him ****ing it up on another play to stay out of the endzone.

Tannehill needs to bring it this season . . . ain't nobody giving him 15 million + a year extension with the play we've seen from him.

You guys should be concerned. This is a very friendly QB system and the results thus far show no real improvement.

What you see is what you get. He isn’t lighting it up and he isn’t going to.

13-21 119 yards. 0 TDs, 1 INT. 2 dropped passes. Without the drop he would have been 71%. For me it isn't the numbers that is concerning me. Its the lack of drives being finished. The 0 tds is concerning. Our offense looked decent when it wasn't shooting themselves in the foot. 2 turnovers in 5 drives was it? Unacceptable. Unacceptable on Tannehill, Sims, and the whole offense. The offense showed it can MOVE the ball which is good, now it has to finish the drives. What is the point of moving the ball if you cant put up 6 points? Might as well start the fist pumping Tony threads now....

And this is what so many are missing. The offense doesn't finish drives and the comparison with Sparano teams is fitting. I was hoping Tannehill was the guy and at one point was confident but now, the doubt is creeping in.

We were good in the red zone last season. I'll be disappointed if we regress badly in that area this year. I don't think we will, but we'll see.

What we've seen in this preseason is sort of the opposite of what we saw last season. In the 2013 regular season, we struggled to get drives going, but we were good at finishing them. In the 2014 preseason, we have no problem getting drives going, but can't seem to finish them.

Hopefully that wont be the case when the season starts, but we will see. I really don't put much stock into preseason so I'm not too worried, but week 1 is when my nerves always start kicking in. This is really make or break season for Tannehill so we will see. If the offense can move the ball like they are moving it AND finish drives then the AFC east has to watch out, but if we start turning it over and settling for field goals then its just another wasted year. We will see I guess.

If you're going to put stock in anything preseason-related, it's the dress rehearsal game. But yes, the regular season is what ultimately matters.

You guys give me headaches reading some of this ****.

It's not like we want the Dolphins to lose, but it is refreshing to see Matt Moore make throws down the field and put points on the board. Look, I get it, Tannehill is the starter and this is preseason, I think we all understand that, but I just want to see this team win and what has held this team back for many years is the "lack" of points being scored. I think Matt Moore is "more capable" to put the ball in the endzone than Tannehill is and facts being thrown around in this thread kind of lend some credence to that theory.

Last thing I want is to endure a season where the QB isn't getting the job done and we refuse to make a change to somebody who can give us hope because we are stubborn to the "drafted QB" rather than the QB who arguably fits what we need more.

This shouldn't be headache enducing . . . I was a slave to the "drafted QB" several times, but I think it's clear who the best looking QB has been . . . . that deep throw Matt Moore made tonight, you can give Tannehill 20 of those with no pressure and he wouldn't be as on point as Matt Moore was with that throw.

I'm just sayin . . . the franchise QB needs to get his **** together this year, no more BS defending.

You throw your first interception in three games and the town folk have torches and pitchforks. ;)

Yeah and how much exactly did he play in the other two games? I think he has played pretty well this preseason for the most part, but come on, dude. That pick he threw was just butt ass ugly. He has no business making throws like that at this stage of his development. It's not even like it was a miscommunication type of thing, either, He simply shouldn't have thrown it, and he knows better. I'm not about to string him up for it, but that kind of crap can't continue to happen. The brain fart **** has to stop.

Tannehill made me uncomfortable tonight. He didn't look like he was fully there for some reason. Still, I want to see him when the season starts and when the offense is fully solidified and set. He just doesn't hasn't been able to finish off drives this preseason. Every QB has a bad game and Tannehill is no different.

For me, Clay is the X-factor on this team. Big separation on his catch and some YAC along with a nice block on a Moreno run. Moreno is another guy that can keep a defense on its heels. Decisive runs and hits the hole with force. Tough mother ****er. Moore is a great backup. Great. Then again he should be putting 2nd and 3rd string players to shame with his play.

Wallace also makes me uneasy. Something with him seems like he wasn't fully out there. Him and Tannehill don't have good chemistry on that long ball. Tannehill could've put a little more zip on that throw to Wallace instead of floating it out there but it's not like Wallace was showing off his "superstar" speed trying to catch up with that ball that was fully catchable by a "superstar" speedster receiver. Hartline seems off as well, don't know what's been up with him this offseason but he isn't hitting is routes the way he normally does. I'm telling you, the first team was just kind of going through the motions in the passing game. The run game was superb, but the pass game looked super lazy. Starts with Tannehill and the reads he was making tonight. Was really content with the check downs. The Intermediate pass game was -- and I am going to go ahead and say it -- great overall. Pretty much every play between the LB's and Safeties was spot on. That right there is a result of a good run game bringing the LBs in and keeping teams honest. Get Tannehill on some more read option plays and let him run a little and teams will be stretched thin...now if he and Wallace can get on the same page...

If our run game can be close to as effective as it was tonight then I have no worries when Clay and Gibson will be out there more consistently. While watching the team the first time around tonight I was kind of sick to my stomach, but I rewatched the starters twice already and they looked good with stupid plays ruining drives.

1) The first drive was disappointing in the red zone where we never took a shot to the end zone but chose to go with short plays.

2) Then the Dion fumble after another 3rd down pick up. The Dolphins were very effective on 3rd down and Tannehill was a huge reason why.

3) Next time around the snap count was botched and the line didn't block so Tannehill had to throw it away.

4) Then Tannehill literally stared down Hartline from the time he received the ball to the time he tried to force it in to triple coverage. That's one of the two plays where Tannehill completely botched the play. One of them was a bad pass that should've been picked off.

This defense will have to carry the team we watched tonight. Defense shut down a top 5 offense. I'm interested in what the coaches will say and do after this game and how Tannehill will respond. I'm not too worried at the moment even though I did feel some doom and gloom with what I saw today at first. One thing Tannehill has yet to prove me wrong on is his inability to score after a long drive. Same thing happened last year a lot. We slice and dice defenses and then can't punch it in to the endzone. That must change ASAP and when too many samples of this same trend continue it becomes what our QB is made of. Not okay with that. But, I'll reserve my full judgment until I see Lazor's full offensive arsenal with our full offensive starters playing full games. Should've been much better but it wasn't all that horrible.

RT would make that same throw (report from camp that he's making a lot of deep middle throws)...if he saw it and decided it, but I'm not sure he sees it, that's the part I don't like.

I'm just going to try and stay positive until I start seeing this in the real season. Week 1 is going to be an excellent test of division match-up and I cant wait. Especially with Revis Island on the other side. Tannehill has to bring his A game. That game is going to be a huge test for us to start the season.

Side question: Did Gibson or Mathews play today? I didn't see them at all but I was watching a stream where I couldn't see the players too well.

I feel compelled to point out again that we were 11th overall in red zone TD efficiency last season.

Our problem was 3 and outs.
