Dolphins second lowest penalized team in the NFL

Credit goes to Philbin and Co.

I don't realize it but stupid penalties are something I don't worry about as a Fins fan. I know our guys are disciplined. Must be maddening rooting for a team like the Lions, whom have little to no discipline which results in a ton of penalties. Go figure, they have a hot head HC.

I'll take mild mannered, even-keeled Joe Philbin any day of the week.

Sometimes being a fussbudget like Philbin pays off, like when he walks the field prior picking up trash on the field.Attention to detail and the little things....

Yep....penalties are mostly due to coaching or lack of coaching.....if its not stressed to the team frequently to have discipline, then penalites are going to happen more frequently.

Love it. Credit this to Philbin and keeping guys focused. "Hidden Yardage"

If the Dolphins' kick return unit could stop all of their penalties each game they'd be pretty damn good!

Yep, sign of good coaching. One of the things Don Shula was known for. We were always one of the least penilized teams year after year.

The penalty I really hate for the Dolphins is illegal push to the back on a kickoff or punt. Especially when it happens away from the play.

They always seem to nullify a big play and as a result the Fins get the ball between the goal line and the 10 yard line.

The player committing such a dumb penalty ought to be benched for the rest of the game.

And I can think of at least three that are utter horse crap penalties.

No kidding. I wonder how many of the 59 are on special teams.

Back in the day we used to be one of the least penalized teams in the league year in and year out...when Shula was coach.

tell tale sign of a well coached football team...joe philbin take a bow...jim schwartz part of the reason you will be fired come seasons end...lack of discipline

This is an area Joe's staff deserves credit with. Please mark that down when people say I am "too negative".

Interesting enough, that one game with just one penalty happened last weekend against the Dolphins when they had one penalty for two yards.

And a crucial first down in the redzone...

That was a BIG penalty we would all be down on this team without.

Not underestimating the stat you brought up, but I jumped up and down when the officials called it.

It was good to get one back at the Pats for once.
