I think he was just talking about Francis wearing Soliai's number 96. Francis is 40 pounds lighter than Soliai and since there is no blocking or tackling I don't think he was talking about Francis's play. That being said I think Francis has a shot a earning the fourth defensive tackle spot behind Odrick, Strarks and Mitchell.

As always Daytona, many thanks for the thread.

I would ask that you consider not calling it the "Saban bubble" moving forward. While i respect your opinion greatly and am fine with you giving the bubble whatever positive or negative spin/nickname you like, I am of the mind that referring to structures with people names is generally reserved as a point of honor.

While he has had success at multiple places, IMHO, Saban's time here did not merit naming or even nicknaming a structure after him.

Well Omar does hugely suck, so it's hard not to state the obvious when his name is mentioned, and he continues to prove everyone right.

While basic concepts may be the same, the scheme is different, somewhat similar to a WCO. I have read where Benton is only going to bring some of what he did in Houston to Miami, and the same for Lazor as to what was done in Philly. It is going to be a learning process.

Mostly just what plays are called, but the ZBS is the ZBS...you block a zone or area...Pouncey and most of the holdovers have been running it for two years already. James ran it in college...the biggest change may be specific to technique or reads by the lineman, but the overall learning curve should not be steep at all.

Lets not look to much into OTA.....its good to see the guys learning a new offense but to read tweets about guys sewing up positions in the 2nd week of voluntary OTA is annoying...

I like that the offense is moving Wallace around and he and RT have made several connections already, hopefully that chemistry transfer over to the summer and then real games.....

I don't put much stock in what the D is doing yet, let them get in pads and hit in two a days then lets see how they look (Francis looking like Soliai out there comes to mind smh)
