Dolphins sign Delmas

for a one year and low money we gave him why not see what he can do. i like the way he plays myself. it seems like a prove it kinda deal to me. worst case is that he sucks big balls and its only a one year deal and not a 3 or 4 year deal.

It isn't a bad signing. Of course it isn't Byrd, who we all started dreaming about last night. He is a starting caliber safety and signed only a one year deal at a pretty cheap rate.

Cornerback and defensive tackle are likely now our main two focuses on the defensive side of the ball. But the money will be flowing towards the offensive line tomorrow.

its a low contract, they have been saying that they Like Jimmy Wilson, so if Delmas bombs Start Wilson for the rest of the year....its not a huge deal

Delmas is an athletic playmaker that has great instincts. He has a sleek frame that could use more mass, but he delivers devastating hits that leave a mark. He has great awareness and an explosive burst to the ball. He flashes soft hands and turns defense into offense instantly. He’s fluid in his backpedal and flips his hips nicely in coverage. He has great quickness and good straight-line speed. - Chris Steuber, Scout.com

Louis Delmas actually had a reasonable 2013, allowed just 43.8% of targets into his coverage to be caught.

He's going to do everything he can to stay healthy, because if he doesn't, his career is over with this deal

It is if you read this forum.....jeez!

This shows if HaHa is there we are sure to draft him. Martin worked himself out of 1st round with a crappy combine. There will be no guards or RT good at that pick. I really think we are gonna draft HaHa. If he is there. If not we will draft a linebacker

My sense is that the Dolphins' interest in Jairus Byrd was cursory ... Like other teams that backed off b/c of the price.

I'm ok with our our guys, I don't think he can beat out our guys for a starting spot.....my feeling is his bad knees will not make it through training camp, hopefully he would have to be on the roster week 1 to get his money.......

Either it's a Grimes type deal, or we're going after a starter calibre safety in the draft and Delmas is the insurance policy in case we have a Taylor/Davis situation where they're not ready year 1.

Byrd is not getting the coin he thinks he is.
