Saw this on KFFL earlier.

Daytona I don't think there was a stephen williams at the 2014 combine and yes the one who was with Seattle went to Toledo.

Ok somebody is seriously not alright post surgery.

Miami also cut a wr, Lankford, and Williams is a long shot to even make it out of mini camp. Some of these receivers are being brought in just to give qb's someone to throw to in mini camp, with out wearing out Hartline and Gibson who are coming off injury. Come late July the receiving corp will quickly be trimmed down. I could see Miami going into pre-season with Gibson, Hartine, Wallace, Matthews, Jarvis, Binns, Hazel and Damian Williams.

Bust signing. Doesnt Hickey know we have Brian Hartline? He has 2, not 1, but 2 1k yard seasons. What dont you understand about that Hickey!?!?! 2 is better then 1, which is better than 0.

Learn to 1k yards Hickey.

Camp fodder. Relax. And likely hedging against the injured receivers not being ready

More interesting than Damian Williams as a receiver...but that's not saying much

Everybody laughs now, but when Miami breaks out it's new 10-wide set this season it will be unstoppable.

You laugh but what our offseason moves tell me is that we are absolutely going to run 4 wide sets with Charles Clay as our 5th skill player, and 5 wide sets, a LOT this season.

I don't know about the 5-wide sets. With a rookie right tackle and possibly a rookie guard, I think your going to need Moreno in the backfield for extra protection. I can see a lot of 4 receiver sets, but to many plays with an empty backfield might be trouble.

What's your take on Williams the receiver? I thought he's looked ok when healthy and he can also return punts.

Pretty sure this is the same guy I saw In seattles camp and preseason a couple years ago and flashed potential...just was very raw...at the time he was one of the guys I wanted Miami to bring in for a look see had he been cut...but that was also when our wr core pretty much had no talent

Well the guys on this board whose opinions I trust on players believe that James will be rock solid in pass pro, and I'm pretty sure Albert will be that, too. I do look for more 4-5 wide sets, absolutely. I think that's what Joe Philbin is dying to run.

I don't necessarily think that's the best idea in the world, but with our personnel, I honestly think putting Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, (Landry?) and Clay on the field at the same time can be our best option in a lot of cases. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think Charles Clay is a viable ball-carrier out of the backfield.

Yes Hoops this is the same Stephen Williams that was in Seattle. I think he plays a lot like a bigger version of Brian Tyms.
