I loved Polite! He was money in the bank in short yardage. If he gives us what Lousaka Polite gave us, then will be a good signing.
Give me Byars or Tony Paige!
45 offensive snaps in 8 games and 112 special team snaps, 1 kick return for 5 yards, 3 rushes for 6 yards, 4 tacklesMaybe he was signed for ST. Any info on his FB snaps at GB
Did that Eagles team have Keith Jackson as well? My roommate was a huge Eagles fan - we watched Shula get his record win together in ‘93.Byars has always been a favorite of mine. Not only am I a Buckeye fan, but I was a closet Iggles fan during the late 80’s and early 90’s when they had Randall Cunningham, Cris Carter, Mike Quick, Reggie White, Seth Joyner, Jerome Brown, Andre Waters and of course Keith Byars.
I remember being psyched out of my mind when Miami landed Byars. I still remember the long TD run he had in Dallas during the infamous snow Leon Lett game.
Byars, Keith Jackson, and Irving Fryar remain some of the most notable acquisitions that really had me excited. I always wanted MIA to get Marcus Allen to play with Danny Marino but that never happened unfortunately. All I have are a few memories of seeing Marino toss passes to Marcus in the Pro Bowl.
So funny we forget he was a FB sometimes. You ladies can have all of the Polite, Konrad, Dyer you can handle, I want a FB in the mold of the greatest one to ever play - the Czonk!!!
I was just tooling around the Hall of Fame and I didnt know this but Jim Brown was also considered a FB...So funny we forget he was a FB sometimes.
