benton knows him from their houston days. if he couldn't play i'm sure benton would have said so. i really hope he can pull and strike in space. give our run game something it has been missing since philbin took over. i can't wait for september.

I agree with bringing in Wade Smith as well. He fits in a ZBS, and will be of little risk as he will be cheap to sign, and he could still have something in the tank. If he doesn't, you haven't tied up a chunk of money in a guy who shouldn't be on the field. We are going to draft some young talent on the o-line, but we need some cheap veterans on the roster in case these kids aren't up to snuff this September.

I fired up a couple Rams games and keyed in on him. I've littered my viewpoints throughout the thread. Most of my evaluation is the couple games I watched and his PFF grades that seemed accurate.
- Mauler in the run game
- Great mover and fit for the ZBS. Great athlete.
- Best fit at LG where I've read is his strong side. 3 sacks allowed at RG this season, 0 at LG though in a small sample size.
- Lazy pass protector, drops his hands and is inconsistent with his punch. Can get coached up.

I think RG may be Brenner or D. Thomas. I recall the biggest improvement in players is from year 1 to year 2 and both players should improve. I think we still draft one more FA or maybe our RT will be 1st or 2nd round pick in draft.

Why is everybody so set on their viewpoints before they've seen him play? He played behind Roger Saffold in STL...they've got some solid pieces on their OL. He's a mauler the opposite of Jerry...best guard left on the market that fits our scheme and he fits it to a T.

Who do you sign???
