If I remember correctly, the Saints picked Terrance Armstead about two picks ahead of Miami in the 3rd (I was pissed since I wanted Armstead), Dallas Thomas was just a fall back pick (there was nothing left, OL wise)
 
While I'm on board with you guys about not being burned like we have in the past, we do have to be careful about turning off FA's by doing that (and I gets around) and losing out on guys altogether. Just need to be smarter about those that are doing it and not play their game. Also could warn the agent that it could affect business with the franchise if they play that game. Player doesn't care except for how it affects him. The agent cares if he knows it's going to cost him $$ down the road. My hopes here is that he's going to take the offers back to his family and make a decision based on all the facts, not just the $$. If that's what he's truly doing, then I like that in him because it shows good judgement. Too many guys only care about the $$ or get caught up in the hype of the last city they visit.

You are right on here. Armstead was the target and Thomas positional reach by Jeffrey.
 
Any news on Smith, the Phinz really need to sign him IMHO :-)

Need a Right Tackle now, but we can probably do work in the draft on that front.
 
But, but I thought we weren't going to sign anymore offensive lineman???
 
This thread should balance most of the complaining on the Finnegan thread.
