The big news this morning (well, it actually happened last night) is that there are reports that the Miami Dolphins have signed Ticats WR/KR Marcus Thigpen and Lions defensive lineman Khalif Mitchell. The Thigpen news comes via the Twitter account of Ticat receiver Jeremy Kelley:

@JeremyKelley11: Shoutout to my man Marcus Thigpen just signed wit my team!...dude gonna be a Miami Dolphin! Congrats brush

He is one of most dynamic KR/PR in the CFL.

Great return man, also took snaps from center in the CFL's version of the wildcat... Wont make the roster as a Receiver though...

Good, now maybe Gates can concentrate on being our burner at WR instead of flopping at KR/PR.

Lol..guaranteed if morno were still our coach he would still have D.Bess back there

I saw him play alot in college at Indiana. I seriously doubt he would be much of a factor in the base offense. He was always an electric return man. If Miami decides to have a dedicated return specialist who can't offer much on offense, then he may make the team. The problem is then you are holding up a roster spot just for that. If he shows really good return skills, maybe you keep him.

We should have just kept Livas. It turned out that we truly needed him last season.

Seems like Jeff Ireland would make a great GM in the CFL.

Is there some sort of time window for picking up players from the CFL that the Dolphins missed?

No, not really, but I just thought it was strange... Four days after the end of the Dolphins season, with free agency and the draft coming up, maybe it was just me...
