Ask any Dolfan what was one of the weakest position on the Dolphins roster and the majority would say, tight end. All offseason we have been clamoring for the Dolphins to do something at the position and after a lackluster performance by guys like Shuler & Edds it seems Miami has finally taken a step in the right direction.

When the 53-man roster was completed a couple days ago and cut by the other 32 teams were made, I suggest via my twitter that the Fins should acquire Rosario or Yeatman. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to see bought on the Dolphins roster. Rosario athlecism and hands make him a pass catching threat opposite to Fasano & Yeatman is a real nice developmental player to have who had a real solid preseason with the Pats and was a camp darling for them.
The Dolphins went from having question all over the TE position to solidifying the position in 24 hours. Miami now has 4 TEs, 5 if you include Clay all with different skill sets and all of sudden the TE position becomes on of Miami's strongest units.

Fasano-Rosario-Yeatman means we are much improved at TE. now mastrud will follow shuler and epps out the door. it will be interesting to see who ends up on the practice squad. brackett is already on there, and now we will have mastrud (if he gets cut), aj edds, and kearse all eligible. i'd rather see kearse and edds than somebody like agnew, for example.

I would say we are okay at TE. It is a stretch to say it is source of strength.

So lets see our upgrades going into this season.....DL check, LB check, CB check, WR check, RB check, FB check, OL check, speed, QB check, coaching check and now we can add TE...... the only position we are the same is FS, but having these guys with a yrs experience should make them better.........I'm loving this FO

I don't know about solidified but it's definitely leaps and bounds better than it has been.. really ever since David Martin left. I really can not understand how we rolled with what we've had at TE for that long. Fasano is good at what he does but the guys behind him were just absolutely terrible.

QB Check? ? ? lol

No but i def agree with ur point for the most part

Finacttic great post buddy. Couldnt agree more. I would obviously like a little better TE than Rosario to stretch the seam but given the timing of the acquisitions def an amazing improvement

is rosario that good really, i am asking seriously never heard of the guy...to what player would u compare him to. sorry for the ignorance.

LOL, I was waiting for someone to kill me on that one but the way I see it Henne is better than he was last yr, MM is as good if not better than Henne and we are only have 2 on the roster which opens up a spot at another position.....in my mind thats an upgrade

I'd agree with you - even on the QB issue because clearly there was some growth displayed from Henne (and Marshall).

The only position I would have to say I would argue is RB. Too much remains to be seen with Reggie and DT. I know the preseason didn't give us a solid look - but that position is the biggest question-mark for me.

Aside from that, this team is better than last years - and our schedule is much more forgiving after the first few games. If we can go 2-2 I like our chances of 10 wins a lot.

BTW - remember that play Rosario made at the end of the game vs. San Diego a couple years back? He's got great hands.

Rosario and Yeotman. I can hardly contain my excitement. :rolleyes2: TE position set for years to come...

I really like the moves made for tightening up the TE position. It creates even more mismatches and hopefully a great safety blanket for Henne.
