Dolphins tender Binns and Freeny

Freeny's a bit of an "under the radar" quiet achiever. People under estimate him. He's done something right to be able to stick around. Good to see.

Binns is the closest thing to a red zone win on the current roster... makes sense to keep him around give him a shot.

I was pretty excited about Binns last year. I'm hoping he keeps it up.

According to RotoWorld, Thomas is not an exclusive rights free agent until 2015.

That is good news and it appears to be correct. There was a lot of misinformation about him with a lot of places declaring him as an exclusive rights free agent this offseason, I guess that was incorrect.

So with Thomas already under contract and Devlin, Binns and Freeny receiving tenders, the only ones who qualify for tenders that will walk are Yeatman and Watkins. As it should be.

I am excited for the return of Binns, and I hope he is fully healthy after his injury last training camp. I know it was just practice, but he was doing very well. He was already ahead of Matthews and was actually starting to push Gibson as the #3. I actually think we have a pretty strong set of receivers in Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Matthews and Binns. Still would like to see more size added to the position, but overall depth is strong.

What preseason games were some of you guys watching last year? Binns blew out his knee about a week before the preseason opener.

With the bengals he went from starter to being cut midseason. He's young, and maybe there is a chance that he has developed. More than likely he is derrius thompson 2.0

Must have been a scrimmage or something. I know he looked like one of our better receivers at one point a year ago.

Great move. Binns is just what we need - a red zone presence. He has a touch of Orande Gadsden in him.

Also many many players in this league can and will flourish with the challenge and opportunity to perform.

Binns was proving to be one of those players.

Another big fast presence will round out a strong receiver core that has been a weakness of this team for quite a long time.
